12VDC power available under hood?

In preparing my '23 Lariat Hybrid for recreational vehicle towing (flat towing) I need a source of 12 VDC under the hood with ignition off. Normally I would wire directly from the battery, but that would require a long run since the battery is located under the rear seat.
A source of 12 VDC power (with ignition or accessory off) under the hood would simplify things.

i used the battery jumper post for my brake controller and charge line. I also installed a 12 volt lighter plug under the dash for my RVi brake controller. Towed 2000 miles round trip to Key West and back. No problems.

Good idea! What brake system are you using? I'm using the M&G system towing with an Itasca Meridian motorhome - had used M&G on 2 earlier vehicles, but the Maverick needed the M&G 2.0 system.

Would be interested in your experience towing the Maveric.

I’m using the Portable RVi system. Very easy set up and can move back and forth from our Honda CRv. The Maverick towing set up was very easy.

Don't connect anything directly to the 12V battery - doing so bypasses the Battery Monitoring Sensor and confuses the system.

So, John - If I do not connect to the battery, where would you suggest? My auxiliary brake system requires 12 VDC to operate correctly when towing the Maverick behind the motorhome. It was recommended to use the battery jumper post.

Don't have a truck yet, but from reading the manual, I would guess the positive and negative battery jumper posts under the hood.
Also where you would hook up a battery tender or a jump box.

I took a triple tap in fuse 24 (spare) to my mounted 12v female socket and shared ground for my BlueOx Patriot. Separate switched and constant taps for Valentine One G2 and dash cam with separate rear cam (powered by same cable to main one). Under hood post positive for RVi battery maintainer and front led bar, negative to one of the chassis grounds right under positive post. Hope it helps.

The EcoBoost shouldn't be flat towed.

There are instructions for flat towing the hybrid in page 292 of the owners manual.
