I am seeing charge voltages of my 12v battery reaching 15.2 volts! I don't think I have ever seen a charging voltage that high. Its typically capped at 14.8v.
Why is the DC to DC charger charging my battery at (up to) 15.2v? Wont that damage the battery?

Is there a way to adjust this voltage? ForScan?
ForScan shows SOC=80 and Type=AGM
Could it be that Type=AGM is charging the battery at a greater voltage?

Thoughts?

Normal. It's the amount of current (voltagexamps). Higher voltage can help correct sulfation. Also at 80% soc (setting seen with forscan) the bms cuts the amperage to finish float charging. Ford is supposedly fixing the 12v charging scheduled to be by end of month unless delayed.

Thanks very much for the helpful response!
So, what are your thoughts on ForScan Type=AGM when a flooded battery is installed from the factory?

Aaarrrggg!!!! Okay here goes. Ford calls it an "enhanced" battery. I take this (true or not) to mean it is like a hybrid between regular flooded and an AGM. It has most likely improvements to help accept a faster rate of charging. I think the "enhanced" battery was thought to be designed to be close enough in its charging parameters to that of an "AGM" that the BMS agm algorithm would function better than the flooded algorithm. Will never know. Maybe the OEM electrolyte needs a higher specific gravity closer to that of agm. (= more electrons to move around? & slower to sulfate?).

Thanks so much! Sorry about the antagonist here who is goading me. I have placed him on my ignore list so that should stop.

While I have your valued attention, I'll be changing my factory 12v flooded battery this week to an AGM battery. I'll charge it on the bench before installing then will reset the BMS. Is there anything in else I should do for this process? I assume from your answers that 15.2v charging voltage will be fine for the new AGM battery?

Thanks again!!!

I have seen 15.6v on mine in really cold weather.
After charging your new agm preferably with a multifunctional maintainer and resetting bms, lock the truck overnight without opening doors or touching any buttons on fob or even accessing Ford pass, so the new battery learn can complete.
I am choosing to wait for fords "fix" whatever it may be. Also periodically consider putting the maintainer on the jump posts periodically to get max life out of your AGM even after you get the Ford "fix". Good luck.

I've taken advice from many on these forums. My voltage will 95% of the time read 15-15.5 volts. From other suggestions, I keep my key fob inside the house, only turn on the wifi once a week for updates, and put my Ford pass on "force stop". Since doing all that, it does much less "clicking" (communicating?). Just turned over 10,000 miles and no deep sleep since with original battery.

I've seen my voltage go to 15.4.
