Did your dealership or Ford compensate you for your delay?
No, but I wouldn't expect them to. Dealer has no control over the production timeline, so why would they lose money on a vehicle that they don't make much on anyway? (I do work for the dealership, which is owned by my family, and they could make a lot more money selling my Maverick to someone other than me!)

I am price and incentive protected from Ford. So I do get the original price and rebates (which are better on my order date than now). Ford sent me the free FITS kit for being an early Hybrid order that was delayed.

It has been frustrating for sure, but (somewhat) understandable with all of the supply chain issues due to covid etc.

I'm just happy mine arrived! And I hope all of your Mavericks will too!

I ordered in the beginning of June. Hybrid XLT w/Luxury. Dealer reached out a few times regarding constraints but I decided to keep the order intact. It's currently shipping. Should be here next week. I have no complaints. I knew some of the items in my build would cause delays & I was ok with waiting.

Just curious, see a lot of folks doing role call for their waiting period any June orders?

Shout out to Ford for seemingly not caring with the verbatim "We're sorry for the wait, we don't have any answers though, thanks for being a part of the Ford "Family" speech. lol
I am part of the family ordered 6/16/21

I ordered a Maverick and it was approved by Ford June 23. Nothing from small, rural dealer except sorry and "looks like you will be pushed to MY '23. So, a few months ago I bought a Ridgeline (my second) and could not be happier. At this point, I don't care about the Maverick at all. Yesterday I called Ford and they said I am scheduled for June 13 build and they gave me my VIN. I wrote a nasty note to the dealer saying why did he not know this and contact me? Of course the answer is they want me to drop the order so they can sell it at a mark up. I made the deal under MSRP because back in June no one knew how popular these trucks would become.

Right now I am looking at the Maverick as an investment. If the market is still good, I will sell it as soon as it arrives, assuming it gets built at all. It is a loaded Lariat hybrid and I did not change any options even though they were under constraint, with an out the door price, including fees and taxes, at $35,000. I should be able to sell it close to $40,000 since it will have less than 100 miles on it. If I can make $3,000 to $5,000 profit just driving it from the dealer and putting it in my garage, I consider that easy money.

There are problems that I foresee, however. One is the model year is coming to a close and people may not be willing to pay above MSRP for a year old truck. In other words, the market may change in the next few months and I will just walk away if that happens (I made no deposit). Another problem is that the agreement was over the internet and none of the sales documents were actually signed by anyone. They will try not to honor the deal we made or insist on "add ons" I don't want. If that happens I will also walk. I am in a no lose situation since I don't want the truck but if I can flip it for a tidy profit, I'll walk in, give them a check and drive away. All I can do at this point is wait and see what happens.

June 24th order. Hybrid XLT Lux 360. I got a text from my dealer on April 1 saying I finally had a VIN, but you know... April 1.
I received an email from Ford last Friday saying I was scheduled for production the week of May 23. If that turns out to be accurate, I imagine it will take another 6 weeks or so for delivery. So, it will be over a year from the order to driving it off the lot.
I'm on the same scenario, excluding the email from Ford. June 29th order, and should break the first anniversary mark before it arrives.

I dont have a problem dropping money on large purchases. I have a problem buying shit that I wanted with everything that you now say I cant have. My vehicle is in working fashion and paid in full and only has 30k in miles on it. I am not in any rush to have this truck as my vehicle runs just fine. I dont see why Fords shit planning and over selling is supposed to be my problem. I am going to sell tickets to a baseball game and when I run out of tickets I am going to ask that you give up your luxury seat and please downgrade to standing room only outside the stadium. We will still serve beer and you will have a tv to watch the game. If not you may not get to watch the game. You can buy your own bleacher and make it as nice as you would like in the standing room area. Let me know what you decide.
Doesnt sound like a fair trade to me, but apparently it is because I dont make as much as you do.
😂 dude. Its not from a luxury box to a standing room seat. Its not a different vehicle. Its a friggin tonneau cover 😂😂😂 it doesnt matter if its fords bad planning. Its your problem cuz they cant do anything about it. Anyways like i said. You had two option:
Wait for the car exactly how you want it from factory, or, get it sooner, and have it made exactly how you want it for the same price with a little tiny bit of extra effort lol if you choose option a thats your baby 🤷‍♂️ But its your own bed you’re laying in lol and its a bed you were warned about, and you still chose it. So your complaining about big bad ford… welp lol

It’s Cinco De Mayo and the truck is being built in Mexico. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or bad thing?
Wonder if it falls under the "Monday Friday Truck" 😂

I didnt complain that I was waiting. I didnt say I couldnt afford this truck. I just said my time is worth money and I dont want to be incovienced taking my truck all over to get what can be done at a one stop shop.

Next time you get a chicken sandwich from KFC and they are out of chicken. Go ahead and buy the buns and toppings at a discount rate. Your local grocery store can sell you the chicken. Enjoy your sandwich.

Holy shit I just checked and mine says in production too. I wonder how close down the line they are?
Are you able to see your window sticker? It says I should be able to but when I click on it, it says it's not available yet. Never mind. I just checked again and have my window sticker now!

I guess you are seeing the problem with removing items. Wow this is crazy. I thought you wanted the product. Im mind blown you cant accept changes. You should be more accepting of change.

Your plan only works as long as the dealer allows it to happen. Looking at the lack of communication from the dealer, you are gonna have a fight on your hand when the truck arrives. I hope you make $$ by flipping. It's about time for us buyers to make $$ instead of being stuck with a depreciated tin can.

The guy is coming off as a "I got to be right" type of individual. I'd save your time and energy, do take note that he's only stuck on the tonneau cover and since dropped the point about SIBL and CPF lol. Cracks me up people like this, I've rebuilt multiple diesels and small trucks and even helped the body work on my profile pic, but yeah a tonneau cover is too hard lol
