Congratulations. I was very careful when I was considering my purchase.. I pulled the trigger the end of the 2024 model year..At that time the only report I could find on longevity was someone with 48,000 on the hybrid & CVT.. Well, I figured it would last me a few years now that I'm retired. I was a Senior Field Engineer for a Global Computer Company and could travel as many as 20 states and 40,000 a year. usually 30K miles just for the company.
I would easily clock 120-150,000 miles then off load. The exception was a Hyundai Sonata hybrid, when they 1st came out. Claim was 40mpg and it never got over 32. The hair on my legs would stand up when the engine went full electric even at 75-80 mph. and the steering wheel would pull right. Huge EMF and all kinds of radio interference..
I like to keep my cars. I have a 2002 GMC 2500HD Duramax I bought new. and it still looks new. Other cars I've kept as long as 13 years.. I'm expecting to keep this Maverick 13 or more years thanks to your report..

Went over 100k miles on my 1st edition Maverick and figured I should provide info. Ford wanted to change the trans fluid, replace spark plugs, all air filters, oil change, wheel alignment, and coolant drain/fill. Cost was under $1000 so I let them do it all. They found no issues with anything.

Over the 100k miles I have driven the Maverick, I have replaced the CV axles, the windshield, and the tires. Stock tires made it to almost 90k with zero flats. CV axles were replaced by Ford with the new stock number axles and a warranty. The truck gets 38+ mpg highway and up to 53 in city. I plan to put another 100k on it over the next 3 years. Will report any maintenance needed.

Love my truck!
Are you still on the original 12 Volt battery?

Be careful with that 2002 2500HD Duramax.

I had one I really loved until 2015.

The thing will tell you when out of windshield washer fluid but

WILL NOT TELL YOU WHEN A FUEL INJECTOR GETS STUCK OPEN.

I melted cylinder #1 just cruising on the highway at 65 MPH. Totaled the engine. Was not worth cost to repair.

The quality of diesel fuel in the US is a huge problem. The cetane is too low and so is the lubricity. New trucks with the Bosch CP4 fuel pump grenade here in the us, but seem to work fine in other markets besides the US. The recommendation is to get a good quality fuel additive. There has been a couple of really good tests lately on diesel fuel additives to see which live up to the claims. It is worth the watch if you have a diesel.

My Michelin Primacy A/S 225/60-18 are fantastic. They do everything well.
But as mentioned previously, They start with 8.5/32nd depth and are rated for 50k miles.

I always get new tires at 4 32nds before the
shallow treads allow hydroplaning. With only 4.5/32nds to use I’ll replace about 20,000 miles with something that starts with 11 or 12/32nds.

I was just going to post I'm past 40,000 miles on my stock tires and they are doing well. Tread is getting a little thin but been saying that since 20k. Seems like they just stopped wearing at all now.

Really good for stock tires.
I think all the complainers got fooled early on like I did.

A dealer wanted to sell me new tires at 17k. I said no. Glad I did.

It's weird. Not linear wear.
THE FIRST 4/32 go away fast.
The bottom 4/32 last about forever.
Weird. But what I see.

I also tow and haul - 20% of my miles.
Not all of them.... The OEM Continental tires come with 8/32 tread, mine, at 70k kms (including 2 winters where I had winter tires on, so call it 45k kms) were down to 2/32 tread

Not all reports of the tires being absolutely shit are false, as my tires were absolutely shit, hydroplaning and slipping on wet grass from first week of ownership.

Thx For the info, so 90k on the factory continentals? And was this the first time the trans fluid and coolant was changed? Has the RDU fluid been changed?

His truck has the Michelins. I'm with @colinl on that tire life though! I squeaked 45k out of mine, but 90K? I can't even imagine that kind of life, and I can't imagine being stuck in traffic behind the person that gets it either

Right now, I'm at about 82k on my '23(had it just under 2 years). So far, the only thing I've replaced is the tires. It has been pretty reliable, and my lifetime average is 39-40mpg. That is with me driving with the flow of Atlanta/North GA traffic. If you of you live around Atlanta, you know that means the speed limit is more of a suggestion than the norm.

Thx for your reply. Some are changing RDU, coolant, trans fluid every 20k. What a waste of money, but if its their money and makes them feel good go for it.

My '24 hybrid Lariat is a joy to drive. Only 13k miles now. I knew going into it I was buying a Ford. I intend to keep it until close to the end of the 3/36 factory warranty. Then sell.

The battery/sleep is a minor annoyance. I console myself with "it's a Ford". No issues with CV axle. The worst part was the order/purchase process/dealer during Covid constraints.

i used to push tire tread to the limit, and beyond. when i was poor i'd go until steel cord was showing. i now realized it's potentially way cheaper to keep good rubber for the unexpected emergency stops or wet roads.

I think you made a smart choice, my truck will never see that mileage but I will do the same at about 3/4 years
1000 dollars small price to pay for a reliable vehicle. I see 259/300 in your future.

Yes on the tires. Yes on the first trans fluid change, and no for the differential. It is a front wheel drive hybrid.
