I like the mods youāve suggested. Good ideas.Modify, Modify, Modify. That is my take. I want it to reflect what I like and keeping it stock would not do that. Then there is the functional part. Do I want the tailgate to come crashing down every time I have to open it? NO! So I put a damper on it.
Do I want to deal with the stupid stick under the hood when I want to do work under it? NO! So put some struts on that hood.
I live in a very wet environment, OR. coast, and I have to walk through a lot of puddles and mud at times so I wanted floor mats that could keep the carpet dry and I could remove to wash. Stock floor mats wouldn't do.
So it is stuff like that and the ability to make it different than all the others out there that drives me to MODIFY, to my heart's content.
I suggest you do the same.
Really like the bumpers
I've got a set of those hood vents I'd always intended to install on my Fiesta, it's an interesting look for the Maverick, do you have a build thread or any other photos showing them?
The dealer put a coating on mine. Iām in Florida so that will help underneath, not having winters. I agree with trying to make it last long. Itās funny, just today I was thinking about the speakers. They definitely need to be upgraded. Iāll look at Kilmat.Personally I want to make mine last longer so I rubber coated all four fenders, Paint protection film and ceramic coated the whole truck. Then I want to make in more enjoyable to drive so I added Kilmat where I could and changed out all 6 speakers.
Iāve been looking at some ideas of doing vintage looking wheels or maybe white.Thereās lots of simple but cool stuff to do. Do what you want. I like wheels and I might get a set of fairly cheap take offs. In a year Iāve seen wheels on here for fair to low money and with tires too. Itās your wallet and imagination![]()
āIām laughing that you ask that here. These guys are disassembling the entire truck to install options they didnāt buy. Then they post the schematics, wiring diagrams and tutorial videos. Live a little. Ignore the āvery wise brother.āUltimately itās my decision but I like to hear opinions. I just bought my 2024. They had it on the lot. XL Eco boost vs used 2022 XLT with tow. I took the new one. No scratches or miles and actually cheaper. Iām mostly okay with just having front wheel drive. Iām in Florida so no snow for me! (Iāve had enough). lol. I love the no power seats or mirrors yet I have Apple CarPlay. I even have started really liking those generic stock rims. My very wise brother keeps talking about me just keeping it 100% stock, but Iām all about customizing and projects. Most mods only change appearance and have no functional benefit, yet I like them. Would staying all stock keep more value? I kinda like my brotherās idea but I also love to modify. Anyway, opinions and recommendations please? Thanks
