Youāre correct stepping on the accelerator while in park will start the engine. I have confirmed that tapping the pedal to the floor and releasing it will start the engine.
Only hand washed so far but I wouldnāt expect any issues in a car wash. Itās not coming off and fits pretty tight to the body. Really no where for the brushes to get under it.
Yes On the resister.
I used 2 heat shrink butt connectors (blue 14-16awg) on either side of the resistor, cut the brown wire in the supplied harness near the control unit supplied with the lights and splice the resistor inline. I doubled over the leads from the resistor to allow for a more...
sometimes when using remote start I noticed the driver tail light still wasnāt working. Using the 100ohm Iāve only had it happen once. You could probably go higher say 150 or even 200ohm to be safe
unfortunately not. Everything is currently taped up and zip tied. Plus itās a little too cold in Michigan right now to crawl under the truck.
Also Iād recommend using at least a 100 ohm resistor instead of the 47 mentioned in the original post.
If you love to tinker and modify I say absolutely go for it. I think by doing projects youāll get to know and love your Maverick even more. You may even want to pick up the service manual and wiring diagram
I suggest using T-Bolts or Sliding T-Nuts in the center slot of the horizontal bar.
First pic is of a piece for a Thule kayak rack modified slightly to use the extra t-bolts that came with my Elevate Rack. Second pic is with the kayak in place.
Bought one of these. Transaction was super smooth. Ordered on Tuesday and received on Thursday. Looks great.
Originally had used a D-Ring but it would often get flipped up unintentionally by the support cable which then caused issues closing the tailgate.
While I haven't confirmed this through any type of testing (would almost need someone to follow me) what I've read is that if the Maverick slows the vehicle by using the engine/transmission or regen braking there will be no brake lights. However if it has to apply the brakes to slow down...
I think youāll like the lane centering once you get used to it. Iāve made a few 200 mile trips and found Iām not as tried at the end as I was with my old car. Also the Stop and Go of the adaptive cruise is really nice in heavy traffic
I read somewhere (I think in one of the ForScan forums) that Apple limits the type of apps that can run in CarPlay. Apps such as music, maps, podcasts etc.
Not sure about Android
Itās good. I havenāt seen a chiltons manual in years so I canāt really give you a good comparison. May be expensive but I looked at the Hilton site and it looks like they donāt have anything newer than 2020 so this may be the only option right now
