the 3 year/36000 mile warranty on our 2023 Maverick ends in November of this year. We only have 9300 miles on it, so took it in for the 10000 mile service. I mentioned the deep sleep issue and asked them to check the battery. So, we waited while service was being and they said the battery was not low enough to replace under warranty since the AGM batteries have certain criteria. I told the guy that we did not have the AGM, and he said I was wrong. I told him it had been replaced under warranty shortly after we had gotten the truck. So he checked the service records and admitted he was wrong and said he would replace this battery under warranty with the AGM. Got the oil changed, tires rotated and even got it washed and some of the extra treatments that were included with the truck when we bought. She even smells like new! All in all, it was a good morning.

Surprising this service only for a 10k miles check. I would expect any powertrain fluids level checks as well. ?

My EB AWD truck will be 3 yo in Oct, ha almost 9k miles. I too plan to take it in to dealer to have all undercarriage fluid levels check, or change.

I was under the impression Ford, even if they replaced the bttery would not replace it with an AGM if you have a flooded battery. I just bought an AGM to replace my original flooded battery as I was tired of not being able to remote start or see when I get into the truck!. Guess I should have taken it in under warranty. 23 Hybrid XLT with 21,000 miles on it. BTW, I have had no issues for the month it has nbeen installed. Same specs as the Ford AGM Battery except my new one has 570 CCA, which does not matter in a hybrid. Paid about 1/2 the price of a mororcraft AGM.

Since about summer last year '25 they have been replacing with AGM under warranty, depending on what was on the shelf perhaps.
I came in under the wire in July - got another but better FLA. Ya! ugh.
Every thread on battery problems/replacements usually has several comments about that.

And no one should have a problem with battery in a month - unless you got a dud off the shelf, which is obviously possible.
But if your FLA lasted that long - say 3 yrs almost and 20K miles - your battery saver responses could be related to not driving it long enough when driven.
In that case - it did pretty good.

And good find on very much cheaper battery, well, hopefully not as cheaply made as the Motorcraft likely is.

I took the original out, desulfated it twice and charged it up 3 weeks ago and just now tested it on my shelf. Not sure if this is good or not, but I think I'll keep it in the box for a spare. Starting voltage was "OK"

I noticed on my original mini and my current bigger one - the stated CCA and Ah must be understated on the battery.
Even at the worst of battery saver functions (though I never got Deep Sleep Mode), my SOH was 100% because the tested CCA & Ah was over, despite the fact my SOC was <30% because voltage was 11.5-11.7.

My Rav4 with 5 yr old battery has less internal resistance than yours.
4.93 mO mid-Jan when my last NoCo charging/repair was like Mid-Dec when warm enough.
It was at 12.5 also. And son doesn't drive frequently or long.

But yours is holding good voltage at least.
Nice emergency if going on like camping trip where you know doors may be constantly opened/closed with lights on.

My 2024 hybrid has 17,000 miles and came with the flooded battery. Have been getting the battery saver notifications for last 6 months or so. Took the truck in for annual PA state inspection and battery check. Dealer said battery needed to be replaced. I wanted to make sure replacement was AGM , so asked - they said the recommended replacement was AGM. I checked the battery later and it was an AGM.

If you want to keep your Maverick for another 4 or 5 more years, get an ESP from Granger if you don't have one. I think it was the best option I added to my Maverick for peace of mind that I will transfer to the next owner, so they also be covered for a couple of years.
