Not sure if I should feel relieved or not that the problem is not unique to my Maverick.
All cars do it. I remember looking around once when I was in a parking lot and almost all the light color cars had black streaking.

I’ve noticed it worse this year but have seen This before. I attribute it to the worldwide forest fires and the smoke drifting down and exacerbated by rain or condensation/dew. I remember a similar issue after Mt. St. Helens blew its top and I live in the upper Midwest. Mine is black but it shows up real well, my red car… not so much.

I've driven 15,000 miles in a year and a half, and am still quite happy with the truck. This though is my only real complaint. I don't know if is something about the black plastic trim used on the Maverick, but my 2022 XLT Hybrid always has these black streaks all around its Cyber Orange body panels and front bumper. Have never noticed it with any other vehicle parked in the driveway. Short of regularly washing and scrubbing the body clean, I have no clue how to prevent these streaks everywhere.

Yes, this is my only real complaint. Sure a front fender does not align perfectly with the bumper; it has been subject to three recalls, plus a service bulletin or two; the paint color of the bumper is slightly different than the body panels; and the drive mode not staying in Eco mode, but those are just the minor annoyances of owning any first-year vehicle, even more so for one built during a worldwide pandemic.

We had the ceramic coating applied to the Maverick by the dealer before we picked it up. Very impressive. Wash it and it looks like you just put on a good wax job.

Mine would streak overnight. Applied Cerakote to plastic and window molding (take care to not apply to paint). Problem solved. Wash weekly since April, have not had to reapply, still looks new.

I was going to say try some ceramic coating. Then I saw Cerakote wipes. I looked them up. They're basically a ceramic coating lol. . So go with those, I will just try my ceramic coating I use on the paint once i get mine hopefully next week.

I have never noticed this and my previous Escape was white. Carbon Grey on the Maverick and the only streaking I have seen is from the spots that hold water. Guess I'll keep an eye on it and try to go a while without washing to see if I notice it, but I rarely go a week without washing and drying every nook and cranny.

Don't have this on my Maverick after a year. Don't recall having this on my other vehicles either, but my last two vehicles had colour matched painted door handles.
