The noteholder of the family Mav has asked me about bed cover prices. Before I give him any, I'm wondering if anyone here has had an OEDRO or similiar brand tonneau for a few years who can give a longer-term review of it. I have been looking at the tri-folds so they could use it has a trunk (which seems to be the desire), but I'll listen to what you have to say about the soft covers of like brands as well.

I searched, but the only posts I saw referencing OEDRO here were recent (at the time of said post).

I have a "mostplus" one of the cheap Chinese brands. Less than $399.
I refrain from calling it a tri fold because it only folds twice.
I have had it over 2 years. The first year my truck set outside uncovered 24/7 in the Mojave desert heat and sun.
Pictures I took 10 minutes ago other than being dirty, it's still perfectly fine.

If you need more room you have to totally remove the cover. Loosen 2 thumb screws on the brackets and remove.

If you don't have the resources to spend $800-$1,000+ on a nice flush fit true 3 fold bakflip cover. This is an viable folding Hard cover on a budget.
It won't fluff in the wind at 60 mph and tweekers while walking can't just slice it open for the hell of it.

I ordered a rough country brand roll up/ soft cover through amazon back in September. It has held up great for being around $200. It is still tight and in great shape. It is kept in a garage and rarely see rain. I was concerned about durability but I like it so far.

Mine is very similar or perhaps the same , but a different "brand" from china. It has been fine, no leaks in the rain or thru a carwash. I agree it should either be described as a "two fold" or three panel hard cover !😉

Have had the Odero on two Mavericks since 2023. As far as holding up they still look like I just installed them. Great for the price. I do wish it folded up to give full access to the bed. Folds twice, so 1/3 is still flat on the bed. To use full bed it has to be removed.

tia,

El cheapo soft roll up from ebay purchased for $140 in July 2023. Parked outdoors since is perfect and leak free, minor wind flexing. Easy latch snugly and unlatch/roll up. More weatherproof than ultrasecurity but keeps honest people honest. With flipover bedextender makes a just inside tailgate covered compartment for bagged groceries or coolers that don't slide forward in the bed.

Wow! No leaks?
I'm not going to say there isn't a little leak from to time, but nothing that would make me consider a different cover. The convenience of just rolling it up and snapping it out of the way to use the bed is worth it.

tia,
I absolutely love mine and have had for 2+ years. Still looks new and as you'll probably read, not too many tonneau tops are 100% watertight, but I do take mine through automatic wash with no issues.

I agree with your review. My MostPlus was purchased in October, so not much time with it. However, it has been very satisfactory - doesn't fluff in the wind and has kept the bed dry. While I don't keep anything of value in the bed, a-holes wanting to cut into it won't find anything there. But then again, it only cost me $132, free delivery on eBay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/134873706098?_trksid=p4375194.c102726.m162918)

Tomoka roll up, Amazon. $159. I have used these types for my last two pickups with no issues.

Hi OffGray - I agree with Glenn Baker's response below that I also have a MostPlus. Pretty solid choice in my brief experience and his extended time that they hold up well. If cost is a concern, mine cost $132 with free shipping. A buy-it-now is the simple way to go. :) (https://www.ebay.com/itm/134873706098?_trksid=p4375194.c102726.m162918). Hope it helps!
