The qc problems are what did it for me. The last thing I want is to buy a brand new truck and have it leave me stranded in the first 10k miles. These 3rd gen Tacoma's are tried and true, at this point. It is definitely a different class of vehicle, though. 22mpg on average, but they can off-road in their stock form like a dream. And plus, I found one with a manual 6-speed trans.I’ve talked to a couple of Toyota dealers recently that can get me what I want in a Tacoma in a few weeks. Depending on how this whole canceled thing goes I’ll be going foreign cars for good.
The Tacomas I’ve been looking at are twice the price and get half the mileage as the maverick I ordered but will probably last twice as long too considering all the qc issues people have had with mavericks so far.
If I wasn’t so cheap I would have already gone this route.
You guys are patient.Same here
Yes, some of us have received these “Your Vehicle Has Been Scheduled For Production” emails for MY2023 orders, with production week and VIN number. To confirm. Are folks getting emails? I thought ford started just notifying the dealer late in the MY22 build. These appear to be emails direct to the customer like used to be done. Oct 2021 order here. Still frustrated.
@STARCOMMTREY1 you are the luckiest person I know. BTW is that a Tremor I see that you have going to production?@Delzona 1 down 5 to go!
Every 4th Thursday, typically. They usually do one big batch a month and scatter some smaller numbers throughout the month. It got bumped a day this go-round.So how often do these batch of emails go out? Weekly? Monthly? Whenever Ford feels like it?
