I appreciate the reply and information. May I ask what number you called? Was is 1-800-334-4375? That's the number I call to check on the status of my order. I just called and got the standard unscheduled clean status and I mentioned the SVS AM Preview Report and I was told they don't have access to that information in that dept. Maybe you got super lucky or called a different number or got a different dept?
I called 800-343-5338 and pressed option 2

Something I don't quite understand with the allocation process and hoping someone knowledgeable can shed some light. I've seen numerous posts on MTC that suggest that Ford will (should?) be able to build all 2023 Ecoboosts ordered. However, if I ordered from a dealer that has, let's say taken 50 EB orders but only has 25 Maverick allocations, how exactly would I get my Maverick? Will Ford just increase the allocations to make sure every dealer gets enough EBs to fulfill their orders? Or will my built truck (again, assuming all EB ordered are built) end up somewhere else because my dealer doesn't qualify to receive any more Mavericks?

Thats THE question. FMC will have a lot of head scratching to do if they don't fill the 2023 orders. Main issue being the out of control ordering that some dealers allowed. Will Ford award vehicles to these dealers, or instead build dealer stock for those dealers that have allocations but no retail orders?

I'm not saying the Saturn my dealer got on trade had a nail in the tire or anything...
The only people more dishonest than a used car salesman is someone trading in a used car. I think when I traded in my 85 Ranger, I may have forgot to mention that it was a one year only (manual) transmission and I was on the third used one and the last one in a New England junkyard.

Got a build date for May 8th, Didn't get an email from Ford, But Dealer emailed me to let me know. Now to decide if I want to trade my 2022 in for the 2023. I have 10k trouble free miles so far. The 2023 will have less luxury package options like no auto start and bed spray lined. don't remember if full size spare and tow hook, bed rail system is also gone on the 2023 lux package. Probably come down to what they will give me for my 2022 and if I am better off with a 23' since the 22 hybrids seem to be problematic

Dammit Ford. Let's not start this crap today...

Well, I'm getting my first bill today. On the plus side, I've put 0 miles on it since I bought it. While the F-150 is nice, there is a reason I didn't go that route. I feel like I'm driving a house.
though same thing. I did not feel comfortable at all. Maybe because I am older. I whip around in the maverick, in and out of tight parking through traffic. feel way more comfortable. Plus once a month trip to gas station, you cannot beat!

It was a joke. I told them about the suspect tire and still got exactly the amount I expected.

The "number" of allocations is fluid. When Ford fills every allocation slot with Mavericks they have commodities to build.....Ford will begin to add allocation to Dealers as long as there is production capacity and commodity availability for the model year run. Assuming the 25 extra EB orders stated in the quote are in the system, Ford WILL look first at building sold orders and adding allocation to that Dealer to build those orders. Does NOT mean they will get ALL of them built. This is where the internal Politics of kissing the Ford Reps Butt come in.
Since order banks are not open and probably won't be, Ford knows there are enough Retail orders to fill all production capacity. They also know some of these will go to stock units as buyers have moved on. In the unlikely case Ford runs out of buildable Retail Orders...they could just build stock units to finish the production run. This happens all the time. There may be a few hundred "unsold" units ( think F-150's and such) that Ford Reps will peddle off to Dealers.
IF...you always take the stuff Ford offers....you WILL be first in line to take any excess Maverick stock units! This is where the Politics really come in...

Dealer allocation trumps everything else. If a dealer has more allocations than retail orders, they will get their dealer stock orders before another dealer with retail orders but no allocations.

It happened last year and I'm sure it will again this.
