Hey everyone,

Wanted to see if anyone else has run into this issue yet. I noticed the rear window weatherstrip molding on my Tremor is actively splitting and separating right from the window frame on the Left an Right rear doors.

So it feels a bit early for rubber trim to be failing and falling apart like this already!

A couple of quick questions for the group:

  • Warranty: Has anyone had success getting this replaced under the standard factory 3yr/36k bumper-to-bumper warranty, or did the dealer try to write it off as "wear and tear"?
  • DIY Fix: If you've fixed this yourself?
Appreciate any insight or part numbers if you've got 'em!
Britch here. After reading this week about this weatherstrip issue I looked at my 2023 Tremor and sure enough mine are also. Just drove out to dealership and they are ordering replacements for me. Still under 3/36. Service writer implied may be caused by my in channel vent visors. He said Ford's stick on outside.

Good day

They might imply, but they would be incorrect.

We don't have anything on our windows and both rear window trims separated.

I have seen quite a few other windows with no visors and they also have the separation.

Glad to hear you are getting them replaced.

Read the paperwork when it is done, as windows need to stay up till the adhesive sets!

Cheers,

Andy

Classic dealership excuse! :bandit:
Blaming in-channel visors for a known factory failure is total BS. Mine separated on my Tremor with absolutely nothing installed on the windows. Glad they are fixing it under warranty, but don't let them convince you it was your fault!

If my visors did anything they kept it from separating even more than it is. Hope you all can get replacements too.
