Mk1 Focus, best car I've owned, manual trans even had manual windows, most comfortable seats, 6 - 8 hour drives no problem. Didn't like the new Focus went Mazda instead.
Haven't got my Maverick yet but think I'll be tempted to do the same thing!
Sorry to hear, hope you are not suffering any after effects. Looks like the 'unibody' did it's job of absorbing the impact and hopefully the seat and headrest minimized any 'whiplash' issues, some vehicles have reactive headrests - don't know if the Maverick has.

Accidentally discovered that I can 'preselect' reverse on my EcoSport (6-speed auto) while going forward - nothing happens, except the rear camera comes on and reverse engages when I stop and back into my driveway 🙄 .
I had a couple of El Caminos back in the '70s - the criticism was always 'it's a lousy car and a lousy truck'. My thought was 'it's a better car than a truck is and a better truck than a car is'.
