Our local dealer here in NW Arizona had a used '22 XL stickered for $36,000!
I remember in 2000 people where paying over MSRP for PT Cruisers that didn't hold their value well, after the newness wore off - hope that doesn't happen to the Mav.
Does anyone have a source for 2.5L Hybrid wiring diagrams, there are a couple of CDs/USB with Workshop Manual and Wiring Diagrams on ebay for less than $20 but they only cover 2.0L EcoBoost 8 speed.
I'm not planning to work on it but I have no experience with Hybrids and trying to learn a bit...
Here is another 'tear down' video:
This is actually a Toyota transmission with the MGU1, planetary gears and MGU2 in line but the principles are the same. It's actually pretty entertaining to watch, a 'shade tree' job for sure, including special tools - concrete blocks, a 2lb 'swing press'...
When I saw that the 2.5L had a 'CVT' I was expecting the 'conventual' chain belt, variable pully system. Turns out the HF45 is nothing like that! It looks very simple mechanically, 2 Motor/Generator Units (MGUs) one planetary gear set and some constant mesh gears, no sliding parts or clutches...
Same here, the only reason I ordered the Lariat was the XT and XLT are key start, I can't believe there is a cost saving with the mechanical locking assembly.
I've never liked fiddling with the key, especially in LHD cars where the ignition lock is on the 'wrong' side of the steering column.
The...
Now the RiverMaverick looks like it might be real (I have a VIN and build date) I'm thinking about what I am going to do with it. The only accessories I'm thinking of are a back seat cover for the doggie and a bed cover. My question is: are any of the bed covers strong enough or have provision...
I had a conversation with the service advisor when I took the EcoSport in for it's oil change (8000+miles with 17% left on the reminder) I asked why Ford where recommending synthetic/mineral oil blend for the turbo engines.
He had just been on a Ford training course and they said the blend...
25 miles is too long:eek: - back when I was involved in EPA emission testing, to get consistent results we changed the oil after every cold start. Procedure was to change the oil and push the vehicle into the lab for it's 12 hour soak before the drive cycle.
Of course we used the oil we drained...
Rolled over to a 2023 and of course color changed to 'Atlas', I've been getting the boilerplate 'Update on your Ford order' and 'We apologize for any inconvenience' messages although the last one was December 16th - I thought they were supposed to be every 45 days.
I ordered my Velocity Blue Lariat Hybrid Lux November 1st 2021, just wondering how many people with a similar order have got their vehicle or build date.
The Maverick Owners Handbook says 'do not connect accessory's directly to the battery terminals', I think this maybe because there are current sensors built into the terminals, connecting to the battery bypasses these.
A friend had multiple electrical problems with his 2022 Dodge Ram after...
