Has anyone noticed that Ford recommend synthetic blend engine oil for the EcoBoost but full synthetic for the hybrid, I wonder why!

Even if your 'Check Engine' light is not currently on the fault should be retained in memory and can be read with a scan tool. Might be another clue.

I always reckon to beat the EPA urban figures, with my current ride - the 1.0 EcoSport (the cheapest thing the Ford dealer had while waiting for my Maverick) is getting 32 mpg. Pretty pathetic but 5 mpg better than the EPA number. Looking forward to seeing what I can get from the Maverick.

Good to hear that the Maverick has good AC - it does get a bit warm around here:p. I notice the Ecosport nearly 10% worse gas milage when the temperature gets into the 100's.
