I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but my 2023 Maverick which would have had the TSB implemented before production completion is better than my 2022 was, but it is still annoying. Other hybrid cars are better at this. I suspect you can learn to drive around it, but you shouldn't have to.

I've been playing around with this on my XL and also cannot get the turn signals to work as DRL. The low beams still come on, and the front turn signals as well but they won't blink.

My Lariat Lux hybrid was built 09/2022 and the brakes were awful. I don't recall seeing a "May" date either.

The 2023 XL Hybrid comes out to right under $25k after taxes at MSRP. I very much doubt you find one of these at MSRP. But good luck with that search.

I think you're on the right track. Initially, my plan was an XL Hybrid without any options. I ended up ordering a Lariat Lux hybrid and waiting over a year only to be disappointed. Parted ways with it after 36 days of ownership. Good news is I got $10k over what I paid. The XL is the way to go...
