  1. I've moved since I ordered my Maverick in September 2021. Should I be worried?

Your private offer is associated with that address. There probably is a way for them to get an override the address mis-match. But it certainly could be an issue for them. We've dealt with similar(ish) situations in the past for different rebates/offers. Some were fairly easy to fix. Some took...
  2. Exactly what determines dealer allocations?

Sometimes I think that this is close to the truth!! The regions/zones need to "sell" the allocation they get to dealers. Not as much of an issue now...but when inventory levels were higher, the Ford reps would try to push unpopular vehicles on us (a small rural dealer). We often weren't...
  3. Salespeople “fiction” add yours here

We didn't get the info for the Dec 1 price change for Escapes on FMCDealer until Dec 5th. Usually dealers are notified on FMCDealer a day or two in advance. So, unless the salesman talked to someone at Ford about what will be going on in the future, it is probably just speculation!
  4. 2023 XL and XLT Mavericks will now get one function key and one depopulated key

If Ford does make a change like that after you submitted the order, Ford requires the dealership to have you sign a form acknowledging the change with language like this: By providing my signature below, I understand and agree as follows: • This vehicle is not equipped with the above checked...
  5. Salespeople “fiction” add yours here

Ford probably will raise the price of 23 Mavericks every few months! (I haven't seen an announcement for Maverick yet.....the last one I was was for Escape, Explorer and Expedition starting Dec 1....hybrid Escapes & Explorers up $1000). I still wouldn't want to pay over MSRP on a Maverick...
  6. 2023 XL and XLT Mavericks will now get one function key and one depopulated key

To know for sure, you'll have to wait until you get a window sticker. The order guide was updated Nov 30th. So I'd say that orders scheduled after that time may be affected. There has been no message about this on FMCDealer (which there usually is when they make a change like this), so maybe...
  7. 2023 XL and XLT Mavericks will now get one function key and one depopulated key

This is from the updated order guide: Two Key Fobs with Perimeter Alarm – 1 Keyless Entry Key Fob & 1 Manual Key Fob (no keyless functionality) Note: Not Available w/ Remote Start System (18R) Note: Required Option except when equipped with Remote Start System (18R) I haven't seen any update...
  8. Exactly what determines dealer allocations?

An allocations are simply like permission/an invitation to schedule a vehicles. Allocations are usually given out monthly (based mostly on market share & sales history)....allocation is first given regionally, then to zones, and then to dealers. Nov and Dec are combined. So Ford "wants" to...
  9. Help with P237C code?

Not a technician, but looked up some info in workshop manual: P237C: This DTC sets when the PCM senses an open circuit to the exhaust heat exchanger exhaust bypass valve. Possible Sources Wiring, terminals or connectors BJB Fuse 8 (15A). PCM Frozen valve / Broken linkages Valve alignment...
  10. Anyone else get a refund from ford?

It isn't from Ford directly. Your dealer was reimbursed for the price increase, and they have passed that on to you. Some dealers are offering the "price-protection" up front. Some are reimbursing afterwards like yours. Some are doing nothing and keeping it for themselves.
  11. Rollover MY23 built before MY22

Better check with your dealer ASAP. There was some action that they were supposed to take to get yours transition to 23MY!
  12. VINs for Canada, vehicle in production

Strange! Maybe there was a glitch in the system.... Or there is some transition going on between the old and new tracking systems?
  13. New Info from My Dealer: Only customer ordered hybrids (i.e. Escapes and Explorers) are being built and " ....all hybrid parts are going to Mavericks

Yeah, I don't really know if that is exactly right..... Since if all hybrid parts were going to Maverick....there would be no other hybrids being built! Just like hybrid Mavericks, there are way more retail hybrid Escapes and Explorers in the system than there is capacity to build them. (The...
  14. Low coolant and oil

Yeah, you'd probably be ok doing that. But I'm sure the owner's manual says to check the oil level monthly anyway. If you monitor the fluid levels yourself, you can probably just follow the meter. Service intervals shorter than 10K can also help you catch tire-wear issues in time to do...
  15. Winter tires for FWD Hybrid Maverick?

Goodyear ASSURANCE WEATHERREADY are "all-weather" tires. Quite a few of my family members up here in WNY have tried them and really liked them. They do well for them even in the snow. (But I still like the winter/snow tires - especially since the hybrid Mav is only FWD).
  16. Winter tires for FWD Hybrid Maverick?

Yes, I put Blizzak WS90 on mine. And am in a very snowy area. I wouldn't want to drive a Maverick (FWD or AWD) on the stick all-seasons here. The OEM all-seasons only started w/ 8/32 tread. So far I am happy enough with the hybrid Maverick w/ winter tires! You won't have much snow to deal...
  17. Is it possible to change dealerships after Maverick is ordered?

We've had a few people stop in November and expect that we could get them a Maverick in a month of two...... Yes, I assume that stock order EBs will almost all be at the end of the production cycle.
  18. Low coolant and oil

Probably best to have changed by 10K miles (despite what oil monitor says). I usually change at 7500 miles on hybrids (which ends up being every 6 months for me). That way I'm more likely to catch any issues that it may have. As someone else has mentioned, if you check after you've been...
  19. Is it possible to change dealerships after Maverick is ordered?

Generally, no. You don't order a vehicle from Ford. You order from a dealership. Ford sells that dealership vehicles. Order banks are closed, so no new orders can be submitted. There will probably be stock orders for EBs. Your other option would be to find a dealership you trust and have...
