Unfortunately, this is an "advanced notice" recall. So Ford hasn't published a repair procedure.
The timing estimates a repair published in 3Q this year, but who knows! It could be June. It could be December!
(It seems to be a very minor issue....so hopefully it will be addressed quickly!)
Yes, it seems pretty clear that something happened to the original order, and that the dealer traded for a similar truck at another dealership. (Or the originally ordered truck with a different VIN number than the one provided was finally delivered to the dealer??)
But at least it seems like...
Did they sell your original order to someone else and are now trying to find a replacement at another dealer? Or was it damaged/delayed?
The vin you provided was only built in April. I'm trying to figure out what happened to the one you said was built in February! Did you have a different VIN...
I looked at the invoice for the VIN you provided..... It shows as having been ordered by Stivers Ford in IA. It was an X-plan order. The invoice was created 04/07/2025. So probably built around the 14th or so.
You said yours was built in February. That doesn't make sense. Is if possible...
You live at a different address now?
Rebates are tied to the address, not to the person. If the vehicle is being sold to an address different to the one the the private offer is associated with, the dealer will need to provide proof to Ford.
The recall affects the ACM (audio control module). It is possible that some other updates may be required as well. The recall instructions don't specifically say that, but I know we have found that to be the case for other recalls/updates.
Allocations are given out monthly. On a weekly basis, dealers know their "allocation to be scheduled this week", but that is just a very rough guide. Constraints on options often mean that the scheduling for allocation can be delayed.
So you can ask a dealer if they have open/available...
Yes, it is my understanding that the "incentive" is protectable on orders. The incentive is the program that will pay the dealer back for the amount under invoice, and then a small amount of profit.
As we all know, we don't yet know the impact of tariffs. My guess, is that Ford will keep the...
Ok, those are private offers though. They aren't rebates available to everybody.
At least in my region here in WNY, there have been no rebates on Maverick. Some private offers and things like the farm bureau incentive can apply to Maverick of course.
Ford didn't have anything off of Mavericks. There have been no rebates (in my area at least).
Some dealers may have been offering discounts, but that isn't Ford.
This "employee pricing" program from Ford means the sale price (before add-ons/accessories etc.) will be the A/Z plan price, so...
No problem!
The full dealer bulletins are online:
https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2024/MC-11002806-0001.pdf
There's more info in them than you need, but the first page should have all of the details about the coverage terms and what conditions are covered.
Did you look at the "owner letter" sent about any of those? That will give you the basic info.
These FSAs are all "N" extended coverage programs. They basically extend the warranty on a certain part, for a certain failure. If you have that condition w/in the time period of the extended...
What year is your Maverick? I've heard that the older ones are more likely to have issues/take longer...which makes sense, because there are probably more updates to the software to do!
You are most likely correct. If it's held at the train yard, it is most likely some damage.
Or a dead 12V battery. We had a vehicles sit for 4 months once because no one in the yard would jump start it!
It's hard to dealers to get information when it's held in the yard like that. If the dealer...
Ford (and every other manufacturer) covers themselves by saying that it is only a "reverse aid supplement" and that you still need to pay attention.
Still, I know I find myself relying on the backup camera more than I should!
From Mav owner's manual:
We've had some here that we've needed to program twice because it didn't work the first time. Some have taken 3+ hours to successfully reprogram.
Unfortunately, reprogramming the infotainment software (usually APIM, but ACM in the case of this recall) very often has issues because the files...
