It probably depends on what your automatic update settings are. Because this involved a PCM update, it couldn't update while being used. My Maverick notified me twice about which night the updates would occur on. And it notified me this morning of the successful update.
I work at a Ford...
Yesh, check with them. They are scheduling the 26s already.... so I can't see why Ford would be accepting 25s. (I do work at a Ford dealership and double-checked the ordering portal).
These are the modules involved in the updated (on my 25 XLT hybrid): ABS, BECM (battery energy control module), PCM, & SOBDMC (secondary on-board diagnostic control module c).
In the US, order banks are open for 26 Mavericks. Order banks are closed for 25s.
We have some 25s scheduled to be built in October. The 26s seem to start in November (or possible the very end of October).
Your dealer may be trying to fit you into a 25 that they already have scheduled?
The dealer would determine whether it is warrantable or not, but that part would only be covered under 3/36 warranty.
I suspect you are past that by now?
Those are not cheap pieces!
Ford will only pay to replace batteries that fail (according to certain battery testers) w/ the battery that the workshop manual calls for.
Ford won't pay a dealership to put a different battery in it.
Some dealers (as mentioned above) may be willing to "cheat" and claim the correct battery...
Ok, so the employee pricing rebate wasn't protected. But I do believe that they could have sold to your at the plan price (and claimed the accompanying incentive from Ford). They should be reimbursed by Ford for the difference btw the invoice @ order date vs when the vehicle was invoiced.
They...
When did you order it? If you ordered an eligible in the eligible time period, there should be price protection for this. If the price of the vehicle went up between order date and invoice date, the amount of "price protection" for the dealer should be listed on the invoice.
Good catch!!! There is no way 22C20 could be completed in 20 minutes!!
For 25 Mavericks, they are just adding some clips to secure a light. 4 steps.
For 22-3 Mavericks they are dropping the headliner and replacing side curtain airbags. 41 steps in instructions for that FSA.
Did the dealer "register" the VIN for you? There are ways the dealer can assign a stock order to a customer, and that should "protect" the incentives on that date.
I haven't tried it with any vehicle for the employee pricing to confirm that it works with that offer....but I do expect that it...
Yes, looks like they forgot to burp it.
yes, I agree. Not surprising that they didn't get all of the air bubbles out.
But two different colors of coolant concerns me...... I'd have them double check that the correct coolant is at the correct level.
Hmmm, that I can't say for sure.
Technically, Ford could call the battery back for inspection (unlikely, but possible). Dealers are supposed to retain all recall/warranty parts for possible inspection.
So the dealer will probably want to keep it. 99.99% of the time, the battery won't be...
25S02??
These are the tech instructions:
2. Inspect the label located on the top of the 12V battery. Does the label show AGM or does it show EFB or Non-Ford AGM battery?
AGM - Passes inspection. No further action is required.
EFB or Non-Ford AGM battery - Does not pass inspection...
