We had one (not a Maverick) stuck at ramp like that before as well. No one would tell us anything. No one from Ford could give us any information. One of the transport drivers did give us a hint. There was some minor damage to one of the doors. From the train most likely. Basically, it...
I doubt you'll be able to get an answer..... I work at a Ford dealership. Whenever we've had vehicles held at the plant, we've never been able to get answers as to why. Sometimes you can get a hint based on information in VINView, but usually we are kept in the dark about it.
Unfortunately, that is not unusual at all! We've had them sit for months before they delivery them from the railyard to the dealership.
It depends in the carrier that they are assigned to. But sometimes the dealer can contact the carrier and successfully request that the delivery of a certain...
I work at a dealership.... I don't see any price increase from Ford due to tariffs... yet. So right now that looks like it is that dealer's estimate/decision just to charge more.
If tariffs stay, I certainly expect Ford to raise prices. I just don't see any evidence that that has actually...
Ford hasn't told dealers anything. If there are major price increases, will Ford still be offering price protection? We simply don't know yet what Ford will do. Or then what dealers will do.
Ford hasn't announced pricing changes yet.
Who knows what the actual impact of tariffs (and counter tariffs) will actually be.
Or maybe they'll just shut down plants or build and not ship vehicles hoping that decisions will be reversed.
We just don't know yet what Ford's response will be.
Activating Ford Pass in your Maverick (well soon to be yours) before the sale date will likely cause you to miss out on the points. When Ford Pass first came out, I know that activating the modem more than 3 days before the sale date would exclude you from getting the points.
Yes, all those w/ spray-in bedliners (and some other accessories) all typically have some extra miles. They are driven to another facility in Mexico to have those parts done.
That's not really unusual at all. Did you have accessories added from factory? Bedliner / tonneau cover? They often drive them to another facility to have that done before they are shipped from Mexico.
That indicates that it will be software reprogramming only. Ford has not given dealers any info about timing or repair yet. Something else they sent us about "delays" with this recall made it seem like there would be parts involved..... But they may considered the software to be a "part" too...
Ford hasn't given dealer's a clue yet, other than a reminder that it is the dealerships responsibility to maintain the batteries when they are sitting around on the lot waiting for the repair.
268,00+ Mavericks involved. Hopefully they'll have the necessary part production ramped up ahead of...
sounds like it!!
Doesn't make sense why they'd risk it:
Federal law requires dealers to complete this recall service before a new vehicle is delivered to the buyer or lessee. Violation of this requirement by a dealer could result in a civil penalty of up to $27,168 per vehicle. Correct all...
I don't know how they can get away with that. But it makes sense why you aren't getting the points and why Ford doesn't think that it is sold.
Honestly, the dealer should be having your drive a rental/loaner.
If you have a warrantable issue.... you make have troubles since there is no...
