Can one of our lariat members take some pictures of their interior door handle that show the ambient light? I'm trying to replicate it with a DIY solution and I'd like to see what it looks like.
Thanks!
Bumping this thread up instead of creating a new one as I'm also looking for a softer ride. I've driven multiple trucks and the Maverick (at least the hybrid) just seems over damped.
Has anyone with the Eibach springs noticed an improvement in ride quality?
I'm guessing the Tremor's...
Of course this is all IMHO, but since you asked...
This is a ridiculous amount of money to spend. Even if you worked at Abt and got them for cost, that DSP alone is probably $800+. I didn't bother pricing out the other stuff, but even at cost, you're looking at $1200+ and that's not including...
Could remove the factory tweeter covers and convert them into a gauge pod for both the mid and tweet in a coax fashion. Similar to what was done above. Or use the sail panel for the tweeters.
That's fair and I'm glad it's working as intended on your build. I was merely suggesting a possible solution to what the other poster was dealing with.
I don't have this specific unit (yet), but for the years when I installed other security system shock sensors, the best way to mount them was to zip tie them to a large harness (typically the ignition harness). That allowed the best transfer of vibration.
Based on the picture posted, I would...
Finally got around to installing the foot well lighting! This time I decided to use 2.2k ohm resistors to dim it down a bit more. I wouldn't go higher than that. If you want brighter, go for the 1k ohm. I would stay in the 1-2.5k range. Keep in mind these dim with the gauges.
Placed the...
Just passed 2000 miles and this has become quite noticable on my 2023 built 11/22. It seems to be getting worse? Maybe now that the brakes are starting to break-in they've become more sensitive at the lower speed? I'm dreading taking it to the dealer...
I would mount the tweeter in/on the sail panel for the door mirrors. That would allow you to mount the crossover in the door and utilize the factory wiring. I would then unplug the factory tweeters and leave them there.
Or like was mentioned, mount the crossovers behind the glove box or under...
All the Amazon/eBay "cheap" covers look to be made by one company in China and come in 3 versions: roll up, soft trifold, and hard trifold. You're only paying more for a mythological warranty by some of the sellers.
The roll-up version uses locking tabs made of cheap pot metal and they broke...
Alright guys with long legs, any insight yet? There's no way you can be comfortable with a 36" inseam... I'm tempted to modify the brake pedal (cut/weld?) and gas pedal (just cut?) to get them further away from me. I think that might net 2-3" of leg room. Unless anyone has thought of a way to...
I have the parts, but haven't done the foot wells yet. You'll need to be cautious around the driver's side knee airbag. Each light should have it's own resistor and should be wired in parallel.
Cleaned up the wiring with fabric tape and mesh loom.
Finally tweaked the DSP using some test tones and an audio analyzer app. The factory speakers aren't that bad once they get some power and tone adjustment. There are definitely some voids in the 600hz and >15khz range that fortunately the...
