  1. 2023 HYBRID XLT : COLD START Rattling/Vibration

Any updates on this from the dealer?
  2. 10,000 Mile 2023 XLT Hybrid Review

The recalls are fairly recent and the solution(s) is a software update, which (and let's be honest) probably won't do anything for the random broken-flywheel/metallic/dieseling that has been occurring. The radio had the latest firmware updated last week and I just had to reset it yesterday...
  3. The stock audio system is great, actually. Here's why.

TLDR. Respectfully, no. The system is anemic and that's fine given it's a base model truck. It is in no way, shape or form "great."
  4. 600+ miles per tank - is it possible?

600+ mile tanks happen with minimal HVAC and <25% highway. I've found running the heat is worse on mileage than running AC. 700+ mile tanks require no HVAC, near perfect temps and <10% highway. 800+ mile tanks require no HVAC, perfect temps and <1% highway. I've found no difference in the...
  5. 10,000 Mile 2023 XLT Hybrid Review

First some stats: ~502 hours in the "on" position equals an average MPH of ~20, which is probably correct given all of the city driving...unfortunately. Truck calculated MPG - 46.9 (adjusted AFE bias at ~3k miles) Hand calculated MPG - 45.6 Unscheduled maintenance - 0 Scheduled maintenance -...
  6. Budget oil change PSA: NAPA 0W-20 full synthetic oil for hybrid

That's fair. If I had an Ecoboost, I'd just stock up on the Kirkland synthetic when it goes on sale for ~$3/qt and not have to deal with rebates every few months. However, the Kirkland 0w-20 synthetic doesn't "technically" meet the WSS spec that Ford calls for in the hybrid, so this gives hybrid...
  7. Budget oil change PSA: NAPA 0W-20 full synthetic oil for hybrid

Just a heads up for fellow hybrid (and Ecoboost) owners looking to save a bit on oil. The NAPA-branded full synthetic motor oil meets all requirements for our engines and is currently on sale for $4.49/qt. FYI, it is made by Valvoline.
  8. 800+ miles per tank club!!!

No tricks. Lol. Unfortunately, just lots of city driving in the perfect temperatures. Had a couple highway stints mixed in there as well which impacted mpg. If I hyper-miled it and did the speed limit I could probably do 900.
  9. 800+ miles per tank club!!!

I've already adjusted the mpg by around 8-9% as it was ridiculously optimistic. I'm going to track the next 2 tanks and see if I was a little too aggressive. Last tank was right on the money, so we'll see.
  10. 800+ miles per tank club!!!

Had to make it official. Lol. MTE reached zero right before pulling into the gas station. ~14.7 gallons to first click at the pump. Ford's MPG was conservative this tank, I may adjust it again after the next fill up.
  11. Skipping/Jerking Wiper Issue Saga Continues - New Motor Did Not Fix

OMG. I just found this thread. My wipers do the exact same thing and it's driving me nuts because it is NOT consistent. Sometimes they do the half-park/make noise and sometimes they stay exactly where they're supposed to be. I'm guessing something in the wiper module itself is causing this. Of...
  12. 800+ miles per tank club!!!

I was hovering around 800 MTE the whole tank. Was going to wait until it was official, but wanted to gas up before the holiday weekend. The indicated mileage was within .05% compared to hand calculated mileage (51.7 vs 51.8). I adjusted it before the last fill up from the service menu as I...
  13. 2023 Lariat Lux - No Ambient Light

If you have the foot well lights, you can order the OEM light for the center console and just tap into the wiring from one of the existing lights. Maybe someone else can confirm, but you might actually have the harness/plug already there, just are missing the actual light.
  14. 700+ Miles Per Tank Club

I unofficially joined the 700 club (forgot to take a picture). I had 686 and 30 miles left when I went to fill up. Took 14.7 gallons. All using normal mode. Believe it or not, I was on pace for a 800 mile tank but the temps in the midwest dropped like a rock and killed the mileage. Now if...
  15. TSB 23-2060: updated grabby brakes software

Yup. Along with the sync system that freezes weekly? Misery loves company. 🤣
  16. TSB 23-2060: updated grabby brakes software

I'm in the same boat. 2023 with grabby brakes, so no fix. And now my dash/windshield started rattling, once again probably no fix. Ridiculous.
  17. Rattle in the dash (a minor yet major annoyance)

Well I can add myself to the dreaded dash/windshield rattle at ~4000 miles. Has been fine this whole time and with this recent cold spell in the Midwest, it just popped up. It's insanely annoying as it does it under the slightest road undulations. Ugh... Of course by the time I schedule anything...
