Can you get a ramp to put the scooter in the bed? Maybe a winch to make it easier to pull it up on there?
Another thing with heavy things on the rack- they make the rear of the vehicle sway a lot more. 3-4 bikes on the hitch rack of my Honda Odyssey made that thing sway an alarming amount...
I didn't get ACC even though we wanted it (22-23 order conversion got mangled at dealer).
I read on a FB group there is some add-on system which adds cameras and is "full self drive", as good-ish as Tesla..
In my case our '22 Order never got built and was transferred to a '23 truck. And they left off all kinds of stuff we wanted when they submitted the '23 order. :(
At that period in time we were just fortunate to get the truck at MSRP, many dealers were charging thousands in extra fees so we...
The fuel difference on highway between 60mph and 70mph in my 2015 Civic and 2023 Maverick is about 6mpg.
Wind resistance goes up exponentially after about 40-45mph. That's why the national speed limit for a long time was 55mph- compromise between gas mileage and getting across the country in a...
I used to buy decent used cars for $2-3k. Used car prices jumped in 2008 when more people started buying them, and again in 2020.
Also, the Maverick is weird because it's so underground popular that it has one of the highest resale values in USA right now...
Not always.
We weren't getting emails from Ford and had been waiting 18months so we were surprised when the dealer called late on a Friday and said our truck was there. We didn't have time to move money from one bank to another, so we got a loan.
Took a couple weeks to get paperwork from the...
I've chuckled to myself when people lift, add wider tires, add aggressive pattern tires, then complain about MPG going down.
Oh and those little 'mud flap' looking things in front of the front wheels are purely for aerodynamics to save half an MPG or two. Some people remove them, despite the...
LOLS. Ordered Oct'21. Finally got an email July'22 that it was in production. Then email it was delayed until August. Then October. Then November. Then that it was going to get pushed to '23. Stopped getting emails then the dealer called March 31, 2023 it had arrived.
May mess up your transmission gearing.
Plus you'll get worse MPGs with more "off road" tires, which also makes the engine work harder.
(GO ARMY, BEAT NAVY!) :)
The hybrid doesn't have anything like a traditional automatic transmission. It has a planetary gearset, connecting two electric motors and the ICE. No torque converter, either. Watch any youtube video on how the Prius works, same idea.
Tens of thousands of hybrid Mavericks sold, not all have had "deep sleep" issues. We've had the notification a couple times, mostly from leaving a door open 10+ minutes. (13k miles, 18 months)
The weirdest part (if this is your first hybrid) is that you "start" the vehicle and nothing happens...
