No CVT in Maverick. I keep saying they should call it something totally different than eCVT.
eCVT is technically correct but misleading. There is no fluid like a CVT, it's a planetary gearset like a Prius.
You only hear about the people having problems, not the thousands who aren't.
Like me, first year we had a strut replaced that was making a rattle sound. Otherwise coming on 2 years soon with no other issues.
Call me insane then. :D But really I was just a teenager in Wyoming who's hand me down car was a 12yr old Subaru wagon. It had true 4wd and the spare tire was next to the carberator LOLOLOLOL.
That car could go ANYWHERE even on bad tires. Low low 1st gear and low power engine meant it crawled...
On the push button I'm pretty sure YES, but it does shut off after awhile. 5-10minutes?
If you leave a fob in the car, you MUST use the push button on the 22-23. Locking the door then closing it with a fob inside results in two horn beeps and it unlocks. (Wife may leave hers in the truck if I...
The "archaic" way is the way to get more power to all the wheels.
Electric motors are EXPENSIVE, and it's cheaper to use mechanical AWD. PLUS, the electric motors by themselves DO NOT provide much power at all- supposedly the rear motor in the Sienna is only about 50hp.
Guy on this forum towed "much more than 2000lbs" with his '22 Hybrid from somewhere west US up through Canada to Alaska. It's also a big trailer with bad aerodynamics.
He said there weren't really issues with it, he opined that as long as you keep the "power gauge" at 50% or lower you could...
Except unless you're using a really old analog amplifier, using vinyl with a modern system (probably anything with a remote control the last 20 years) it's converted into digital then back to analog.
Not sure what you mean- I use android auto for all those, and it works 100% awesome about 99% of the time. Sometimes the truck screen freezes up, but that's not the phone's fault.
Android auto pauses the music for phone call, mutes it for GPS directions, then music comes right back on.
Correct- instead of a small muffler looking device, that thin patch allows some exhaust pressure to be dissipated (reduce noise) while somehow still sending the exhaust out the tailpipe. It's a lot cheaper than the old resonators.
IF the fob ALWAYS works on the driver side, Sensor in the passenger handle may be bad- I'd check with dealer. I read someone else had the problem quite a while back.
Fun to see the Maverick pictures mixed in with the "REAL" (sarcasm!) trucks. Rack looks kinda cool, even though it's pricey:

The electric motor provides max torque at any speed, but it's low output. Good tires will help more than anything, then I agree a bit of speed to start helps get up a lot of slippery situations.
