I recommend using the USB Cable that came with your phone. They are usually the best for data and charging. Also, check the phone immediately after connecting because sometimes you have to click on certain settings to allow the phone to connect to the Ford system.
If none of that helps, see the...
I was hoping to post that the update fixed all the glitches with this crappy infotainment system. I will say, it is much improved, but still, not without glitches. In over a week of driving since my update, I haven't heard the brief mute and static/pop through the speakers which used to be...
Understandable. My phone can send emergency messages to satellite if there is no cell signal so I bring it along when I'm on the trails (MTB or hiking, not ATV).
Stop feeling the gas. It absorbs into your skin and that's what you smell.
If you meant fill, don't "top off' the tank. Also, do you fill with windows down or doors open? Try filling with windows closed, doors closed, and make sure you don't drip any on your hands. If you still smell...
Had mine updated this AM. Surprisingly, it didn't reset the change I had made with Forscan to eliminate the Nanny. I am still able to scroll/search my USB files when in motion. I didn't really have an issue with the screen brightness before, but it is noticeably brighter after the update. I...
The non-Sync units will recognize Artists, Albums, etc, but you need to have your USB stick organized in a certain way. I have written some tutorials on this forum on how I organized mine and was also able to get Playlists working correctly. It was a bit of a pain to figure out, but I've been...
Sync4 should allow you to voice command the USB playback to other albums, even when in motion. It might take some practice to how they want the command structured, but I'm sure Ford has some information in the Sync4 manual. Have you tried that yet?
Yes, the nanny lock. What a pain. I know the...
Scheduled my recall fix for next week on Friday. Hopefully the dealer has things figured out by now and it will be painless. I expect to need Forscan when I get home to remove the nanny features again along with some other things I changed.
For the few folks that are saying they still have...
Because this whole thread was a joke...Yours stopped doing it with an update? These don't have OTA updates for the BCM or Door modules. The only 'update' is you finally figured out how to open the door without touching the locking lever.
It's quite simple. Those who have Sync 3 or Sync 4 will update automatically and those who have a 22-24 model without Sync 3 will have to manually update. The menu makes it quite easy to just adjust the Hour and not have to scroll through 60 minutes of button presses like some of the old cars.
None of the affected vehicles have an APIM module. The non Sync 3 models only have an ACM to control everything. Adding an APIM would require a different wiring harness, a different ACM, a mounting bracket, and a bunch of module coding/programming. That probably adds up to 6 hours of shop time...
Mine does...Remember, only the Lariat's with the add on Lux Package for MY 22-23 had the Sync 3. I don't know the numbers, but I'm sure there were quite a few that were sold like mine, ie: Lariat without the Lux package.
18,677 miles and about 2 months shy of its 2 year purchase anniversary. No problems to report except for the headaches associated with the infotainment system. No dealer visits required except to flash the BCM for the recall last year. I guess I'll be going whenever they release the fix for the...
