My guess is those appear to be transmission vent tubes. They are probably curved like that to prevent water or dirt to fall in.

Do you know about the two button reset procedure? Hold the Power button (center of volume) and the FFWD/Next Track button for about 5-10 seconds and the system does a reboot. That fixes the freezing unresponsive system every time. If you are lucky, you only have to do that once a week or so...

For me, it has and will always be: the under-powered, recall affected, glitchy infotainment system in the trucks without Sync3/4.
