You can get clear vinyl tape on Amazon that I used to cover the scuff plates on the door sills. It’s about 4 inches wide. I was concerned about leaving an adhesive residue after pulling it up but it comes away pretty clean.

I think they designed this product originally as a cosmetic piece to close the gap/ opening going into the rear fender that frankly, doesn’t bother me in the least. It must not be selling well so they are re-marketing as protection because none of us want any scratches on our bodies I don’t get...
I really admire your hard work but that project is quite an undertaking. I'm actually very happy with how quiet my Maverick is. i thought about doing this but I'm not sure it will make enough of a difference for me. It will make the doors close more solidly. I'll give you that.
Very interesting. Coming from the Northeast originally, I always had a small plow on my vehicles. My last vehicle was a 2013 Grand Cherokee 4X4. But the plow was attached to a receiver in the front that was attached to the frame (not really a frame because after 2011 Grand Cherokee's are...
I have a cover on my bed and the gate locks too. How are you going to get to this kit? I had a spare key made that is hidden outside of the vehicle in a very protective magnetic case. In a Farady bag. I have a spare battery in the case too just in case the fob battery goes dead. The key case is...
So I ordered one of these keys from Amazon and it came yesterday. To my surprise it fit perfectly and was ridiculously easy to program. Now I have three functional keys and will be abandoning my quest for key codes and installing a keypad. For less than $50 you really can’t beat it. Thanks for...
Opinions, well you all know the saying, everyone has one, and we all have something else in common. You know what? It doesn't matter at the end of the day. I'm a Boomer. I haven't been this excited about a vehicle in a very long time. I like it. I don't really care what anyone else thinks...
Pop off 3 of the push fasteners holding the front wheel well liner to the fender from the bottom. Pull it away some and debris will drop to the floor. If you turn the wheel for more room you may be able to get a vacuum in there too.
Sorry, yes. "They" are Ford Accessories. Let us know if your dealer honors the Ford Accessories install price. You do have to pay that fee at the same time as purchasing the Keypad.
Thanks Gene that key looks like a pretty good solution. I have both of my OEM keys and just wanted a third to maybe hide on the vehicle some where in case I lost mine. The Keypad can't help you actually start the car, so this may be better all around. Some of the Amazon reviews weren't that...
Thanks guys. I don’t have that tag. I’m thinking about installing a Keyless Entry Key Pad and an extra key and I know it’s needed. I wish I could program the Key Pad myself.
You are correct about the faux leather look cracks. Dirt magnet. But they do clean out and after each wash I apply The Chemical Guys VRP and it looks great. That Ford logo though is barely visible.
I was in Pinal County this week as a matter of fact. Florence. I'm not familiar with that particular Deputy but there are plenty of Barney Fifes out there.
