I have ordered the CG in Lariat because I wanted certain items in the Lariat trim. I really like the looks of the XL and XLT black door handles because of the contrast with the CG color. The window tint also provides the dark contrast as does the black Maverick lettering on the tailgate. Of course, whatever floats your boat.....

There's a long thread from January when I did the install. The springs are H&R 28633-1 for an Escape. I think Tirerack.com has the best price. Search "escape springs" several others have installed too. I have a property in the Santa Monica mountains (reason for my screen name) I don't know if the escape springs will get you all the way to your other ride but It will definitely make it better than stock. The Steeda rear Escape sway bar will also help.

Hi all,
Unpopular opinion but I am a big fan of steel wheels and was always planning on powder coating them gloss white to give them that old school Toyota FJ, Defender safari vibe. Just had them done and wanted to post in case anyone else wanted to see what it would look like. I also have bigger tires, and RokBlokz rally mud flaps. Happy to answer any questions.

Overall I like the look on the truck, they fill the groves on the fender Nicely as it seemed like it belonged there.

install was a pain in the butt, it required additional set of hands to apply pressure to get the holes to line up. Ive heard someone drilled bigger holes but this wasn’t needed. Additionally the plastic clips were even harder to press in with the flare on top. Needless to say it was worth it since there’s no drilling into the fender.

It’s okay, doesn’t bother me. It’s the ones from ford accessories site by Lund? Really cheaply made, waiting for some weathertechs to come out but it does it’s job for now
