How well do they fit the Maverick back seat, meaning is there lots of extra material or lack of coverage? My moving blanket is doing the job as of now but our pup is getting big and wants to start going on rides ;-)
It fits very well, like it was designed for the Mav. There are zippers for the 3 sets of seatbelts and the center armrest. It does not attach to the front seats like a dog cover, so I also bought 2 covers for the rear of the front seats. Its a good setup.

You bought the large I'm guessing?

The seat folds down to access the jack and funnel. It's not meant as a storage area.
Check out the comment below your comment for ideas. If you fit something back there to hold items, then it is a storage area. It is a truck, modify it.

I have not looked - is there a dedicated space for the little funnel or do you just tuck it away back there? Mine came in the glove box where it still lives.
I just wrapped it in a grocery bag (so it wouldn't rattle) and threw it under the back seat, where I store other seldom used stuff.

Does anyone have a solution to the area behind the rear seat? It is an open jumbled mess when you put the seatback down. Any solid ways to cover that with a semi easy way to remove and lock seats back up afterwards? I'm uncomfortable carrying items back there without protection to all the area?

I hate the rear seat period I'm still searching for a rear seat delete kit I've got a tarp on the seat so I can put my tools back there I tried to take the seat and back out but with the seat back out, the road noise is awful any ideas for both issues?

Well its official.
There will never beqa a satisfied Maverick owner.
I can’t stand the color of the orange electrical wires under the hood. I wish they were purple.

It's just Wifey and I, the back seat is just wasted space in my opinion, the bins underneath are a joke and the seat is always in the way whatever you do.

The seat now lives in the attic, wrapped up in plastic bags. I built a similar box in the PriusV to make a full nearly 6 foot lay down area, this box was attached to the seatbelt bolts and the amplifier bracket, I used ⁷/¹⁶ OSB because I had it and ⅜ plywood for the top, padded it and covered it with upholstery material wifey had, got a quart of paint mixed to the dark purple of the plastics. The blue paint I already had. I added gas struts that really help.

It looks a little junky for you clean freaks but I like it, we can pack a months worth of gear inside the box and have room for the Thermoelectric cooler on top. It's a little over 5 feet across with the armrests so Wifey can nap across it on long trips.

Just in the last few days, I posted the below to a number of FB site. It had been posted to the MTC years ago when I first applied the mod to my”22 hybrid XLT.

I was thinking I would throw out one of my quick and easy mods for your consideration. I like that the Maverick has many nooks and crannies for storage. This mod adds one more taking the advantage of the underutilized space behind the rear seat. On Amazon, I found an envelope-style mesh net that fits well against along the back wall of the truck when stretched out. The net came without anchors. Also on Amazon, I found a pair of knobs that screw into the back and capture the net’s elastic loops at each end. There is enough room between the back wall and the seat back to store any number of items. For me that means a rain jacket, a windshield sun screen, my windshield scrapper, and a travel blanket and pillow for the passenger’s use on long trips. What do you think?

I think folks are mis-understanding. Cargo. I want to fold down the back seat to put items there. for transport. Such as Dog kennel, boxes, tools. Thinks I don't want to put in the bed. On top of the fold down. Not small items. Large items on the fold down area. When I have show people that area they are horrified and say they don't think anything can be placed on the fold down. It has the hybrid battery back there, wiring, looks like a speaker and on. I rarely even use the seat and have thought about taking it out short term but thought there might be other options.

If not using it for like hanging storage already, are you with a Lariat trim with extra speaker/amp and wires, or just talking the normal things there?
(your profile vehicle description is missing the trim level which makes a difference)

You could hang a heavy blanket from the hooks that you just let drop down when time for the seats to lock back up.

But I'm thinking if whatever you are carrying has this much potential of sliding around and catching wires and such from the back area - why isn't it going to slide off on braking and corners anyway.

I've not tested how flat a surface a down seat-back provides, but if that flat that sliding is happening, I'd say foam surface for the "floor" to keep items from moving around.

If it's about you putting something there and afraid of catching wires and such - just be more careful.
It is Lariat trim I didn't know if a moving blanket would work. Looks like a speaker and with all of the stuff there I figured there was a reason there wasn't something there to protect the area. better. But why have it fold down if you can't use the area? I might look more at taking the seat out and how much of a b*tch that would be in and out.
