Well, it finally happened to me

I was all ready to take my 22 mavie to dealer today, was growing weary of the battery issue, and went out to the garage and you guessed it, it wouldn
't start. First time for that....so called in the calvary (roadside assistance) to jump start her...after starting, went right to dealer, they checked the battery and said it was no good...(this is the second battery I have gotten)...so brand new battery...thank goodness for warranty! Fingers crossed..

put a band aid on a problem ain't gonna fix anything. Wait until when you're out of warranty. Putting on a new battery every time it dies is gonna be expensive.

Seems Ford is just treating the symptom dead battery and has no clue what the cause is.

the same battery that comes with them, they can't do anything else...I will get an agm battery if it happens again I only have until May until warranty is done.

I’ve had excellent luck tbh with Duracell platinum agm batteries from Sam’s club. Goes on sale often too. Mine is $170 or soemthing like that, when they do $20 off battery sale. Not including the 10-15 dollar core charge refund

I don’t know who actually makes it, but I like them, been putting them in all our vehicles none died yet.

It's the neverending story Deb. I went through 3 batteries under warranty with my '22 XLT. Then this past March I traded it for a '24 Lariat in part to get away from that issue. And guess what? This time it's worse with continuous battery saver mode and a no start like you. I jumped it with my Gooloo and drove it to the dealer with every warning light flashing. They eventually replaced the battery after considerable persuasion on my part. But as I mostly suspected, it hasn't made much of a difference. Except I haven't experienced another no start...yet.
The moral of the story, aside from the fact that FoMoCo is deficient in that subject is that yes, the OEM batteries are crap. But the problem goes much deeper and they're playing dumb about it. Stand by for a supposed 2025 software fix. I'll believe it when I see it.

Got my THIRD warranty battery last month, 3/36 runs out in less than 3 weeks - I figure I will need to PAY for this software update, since I will be past the 3 years - hope they make it a Customer Satisfaction Program...

No one will be paying for any software update that is dedicated to rectify an issue for which there was previously no fix, expired warranty or not.

I don't think they have a fix yet, so the 2025s may have to get the patch too? I have been hearing it is a charging issue. Our 12v batteries charge off the HV battery system. Maybe the software isn't keeping it topped off? At least that is the way I understand the problem. Your engine and regen braking actually charge the HV battery and not the 12v. This is my first hybrid vehicle so I am trying to learn how the system works
