XLT sun visors won't turn on

My 22" XLT don't have lights on the sun visors. I just purchased and installed sun visors with integrated lights from a another maveric but it won't turn on? Does anyone knows why?

There's one oem in place already, i was thinking and hoping it would be a straight swap. I guess ford had different plans!

Probably needs an enable turned on on the bcm using forscan .i would reach out to the forscan experts/ forum.

Dang, I would think it would have been powered right away. I’d also like to swap out mine for one with lights.

There shouldn't be any BCM specific control for just the visors. They're wired on the same power circuit as the general power for the front and rear dome lights.

89-2 are the visors. They just have a switch that should close to ground when opened.

Hahaha. That's what I tough, just a open or close state. Some on FB said it need it a specific wiring harness. I gonna check if they shipped them without bulbs!

I noticed the XLT at least on my 24 already has the wiring harness going to the non bulb sun visors. I have no interest in lights for the visors but I'm sure there's those that will. I noticed the existing wiring harness when I took the visors out and removed the heat pressed stickers.

Check the wiring with a test light. Then run wires straight from a battery to the visors to see if they work at all. Maybe the bulbs are shot?

My smaller heat gun on low setting.
