Drivers side axle being replaced @ 20,000 miles

As the title states. Took my truck in for an oil change and mentioned some popping I had been hearing from the drivers side.

They just called and confirmed I need an axle. The part should be in Wednesday and ready to go by Thursday.

No mods other than BFG KO2s

Only 2 days to get the axle is fantastic! In the past, people were waiting for weeks to months for the axles.

Why don't they replace both of them? I had the same problem with my truck and they replaced both. It’s a known issue.

couldn’t really say. I noticed a knock on the drivers side, mentioned the noise and my concern that it may be an axle when I dropped the car off for a service, they confirmed the axle was the problem and are replacing it.

According to conventional wisdom of MTC forum users, these types of premature CV failures only happen if you have a lift on your truck.

Next go around if you have to pay just go to Tremor axles and should be problem free for a long time then.
Under warranty they will not usually use a different part number .
