Mine has been indicating "In Production" for the past two weeks plus on the order tracking website. I wonder what's happening?

There 100% is a QC hold.

Source: trust me bro

Seriously though, the hold is a fact. Whether it applies to every single job 1 build I'm not sure but, there is a hold just like there was for the refreshed 25 explorer. That was "just a refresh" just like the Maverick and it got held for the 6 weeks.

Ive been doing this Ford ordering rodeo since covid.

The only thing less reliable than Ford chat is the @Ford Motor Company bot
There's an official Ford account on this site. The question of a hold could be answered with a single sentence.

I do wish Ford would confirm or deny the six week hold thing, which i havent seen a source for. Ive also been in production since 11/18, modules show up in as-built, ford app shows ready to connect, and ford chat has given me an ETA of 12/27-1/02. I’ve seen a few other folks on here saying they have late december ETA from Ford too. I’d be surprised if a forum rumor was more accurate than multiple people’s info from ford directly and from dealers, but it seems to be persistent on here so it’d be great for someone official to confirm or deny.

Anyone see a ‘25 window sticker yet? That should be available before shipped status?
Not that I am aware of. My ‘25 went down the assembly line on 11/14, and still no window sticker. For my ‘22, the sticker went live the Friday before it went down the assembly line. So not clear if that site is not working, for Ford is holding those as well.

I feel that no window sticker yet makes sense because there are no official EPA fuel economy estimates for the '25. When I go to fueleconomy.gov, the '25 is not listed yet. My guess is the window stickers will be available as soon as the official EPA numbers are solidified.

I just tagged the “official” account. Which does not know shit.

Isn’t that right, @Ford Motor Company

Appreciate it! Had to dig to find the actual source (a Bloomberg article). This is also a case of bad journalism (lots of AI articles and summaries) and telephone (this forum getting upset about a speculative 6 week hold), I think.

This Bloomberg article summarizes a podcast interview with Farley about a range of topics, but says the following:

For the foreseeable future, Farley says, the company will hold newly redesigned models for up to six weeks to perform extra quality checks that go beyond the extensive tests Ford undertakes in its factories.
This was months before the 2025 Maverick was revealed, and has not been mentioned since. This is also "up to 6 weeks" (emphasis mine), as a speculative, noting that they've refined this process with the explorer/bronco sport already. It's also "for the foreseeable future," which was months before the Maverick was even revealed. We might be past that foreseeable future.

All in all, that's to say that there's nowhere announcing a mandatory six week hold of 2025 mavericks post-production, just that there is some additional level of build-and-hold QC that Ford is instituting as a practice. I'll take Ford (chat, dealership) at their word when they provide me with status updates and dates rather than speculate that it'll be +6 weeks, but in the end... the truck will get here when the truck gets here, and that's the only way to know.

Im going to listen to Ford’s CEO. You listen to the chatbots.

So far all evidence points to a 6 week hold while not delivering any mavericks in the window ford chat gave to MTCers.

I wouldn't exactly call the 2025 Maverick a "newly redesigned model".

Farley said they are going to hold Mavericks.

The density on here is astounding.

I can read quite well and the man clearly said "newly redesigned models". As a 30 year autoworker I'm aware of how things work.
