I have not had any issues or problems with my 2023 XLT EB AWD with the 4K Tow package.

Why do you ask?

None here, but a very few people have reported transmission replacements as the miles pile up. One guy had a turbocharger issue. And of course, cheap OEM tires.

Zero issues with my MY22 awd 4k tow lariat, not even a squeak or rattle. Had 1 recall on the turn signal bulb out notification software update which I couldn’t have cared less about.

2023 Lariat AWD FX4 w/tow package . No problems .We went on 4200 mile trip to south Texas in 2023 and averaged 30.0 MPG . Last month we went on a 2000 mile trip to Michigan and got 30.8 MPG . I normally drive about 75 MPH on the highway . We live in CT . I’m a retired plumber and drove many different trucks over the 40 yrs of working and like this truck, they all had a different purpose . This truck far exceeds my expectations !

Just an FYI and it may be different for your truck, but 68 MPH seems to be the sweet spot on mine for MPG. I generally get 34 at that. Just bumping up to 70 is 32 MPG and 75 is about 30 MPG.

I've had my Maverick for 3 years now as of 11/4. And i now have 74k on it. It is lifted 2 inches, or i should say, was. I've had a few issues. Axles replaces 3 times. Since the last time ive taken an inch out of the front and they've been ok. Most recently the trans was replaced. Now it's back in for a ptu replacement, after it started to make alot of nasty noises. All I can say is thank God for warranties. I've done all the maintenance but still have failures. Is what it is, I guess

In addition to the official recalls from Ford.
Quite a few on my 2023 AWD XLT Ecoboost, unfortunately.

2) AWD issue likely caused by the front/rear units not being filled to proper level from factory.

The issue was a heavy thud and tremor when slowing down to about 1200-1500RPM plus heavily fluctuating RPMs before settling down to idle. After finally getting a proper tech to look at it, they found metal shavings in the rear unit so they drained it, removed the shavings, and replaced the fluid. It didn't fix the issue which was a heavy thud and tremor when slowing down (~1200 to ~1500 RPM range) so they replaced the entire rear unit and reset the system. Thud and tremor went away and stayed away but the fluctuating RPMs came back after a few thousand miles. I suspect it's the front AWD unit but hell if I can get Ford to even look at it.

2) Clunks and clicking noise from the front end and vibration when accelerating from zero

This is really annoying by now and is getting worse. There is an occasional heavy clunk from the center front end when braking hard. Suspect motor mounts. There are also numerous intermittent, but frequently occurring clicks and clunks from the front left side, especially when breaking and turning hard to the left. That coupled with the increasing vibration issues felt when accelerating from zero through steering wheel / gas pedal makes me suspect it's the CV axles. I'm not imagining these either as my wife hears it all the time and has felt the vibrations. But again Ford refuses to acknowledge them.

3) My rear view camera has frozen up twice. There's that recall for that but no fix of course.

4) I have plenty of vibration and rattling in door panels or speakers, both when driving and when listening to music (not loud or with extreme bass).

Maybe I got a borderline lemon, but I'm not at all impressed by the build quality. My wife has a Volvo S60 with more miles on it and that thing has had zero issues and drives as smooth as can be. And the service experience is literally on a different planet compared to Ford, which has been completely rubbish with that one exception when a proper tech took a look at it.

I love my little Maverick but there's no way in hell I'm buying a Ford ever again.
