It seems we have an issue that Ford needs to address. I took our 22 Hybrid Lariat in for a vibration/shimmy, that is at its worst at 50 mph. At only 42k miles, they just called and said it was under warranty and the issue was CV Joints.

For good measure and a hope to help others, I filed a failure complaint with the NHTSA. If you have any such issues, I would encourage you to take the time to do the same. Ford needs to make right the things that don’t even come close to normal parts expectations (CV Joint should last 80k-100k).

Godspeed fellow Maverick owners.

Mine haven’t failed yet, but if and when they do I will be complaining to NHTSA and ford. Until then keep spreading the message.

I have read several threads here recently. I thought mine may be isolated at first until I dug a little.

I wanted to make certain this issue stays on top for readers to take action so we can all be safe and benefit from a much needed recall.

Hello, I just had both of mine replaced because of this same issue. 37,000 miles. Thankfully it was under warranty. Best of luck

20,000 miles on my 2023 Maverick Lariat hybrid. Noticed vibration at about 55mph. Thanks to this forum, I figured it might be CV joint. My dealer says needs both "front half shaft" replaced, which I think is pretty much the same 🤷🏼‍♀️. Under warranty, giving me a rental cuz waiting for parts.

Geez. Sorry to hear that at such a low mileage! The forums here have been beneficial for sure.

Godspeed on the repairs. Here’s to hoping for more warranty friendly parts.

Mine has been in the shop for three weeks waiting on CV axles. Started around 30k miles, maybe a little earlier. Also had evaporator and carpet replaced and I had water coming into the cabin behind the console (not good).

48,000 miles on my 23 hybrid. 90% interstate driving at 75 mile an hour.I had not driven the truck for several weeks because I was traveling and my family was driving it. Immediately noticed under firm acceleration on an on-ramp with rather severe shaking that I backed off the gas. Not at highway speed or steady speed, but only under firm acceleration. CV joints?
