I've got a great tip on how to track your Maverick once it has been built and the engine started up at the Mexico factory. (I credit my son for passing this on to me.) Once you get your VIN you can go to your Ford Pass online account (or create an account) and add it to your vehicles. As soon as they start the vehicle after is has rolled off the line, you can activate it on Ford Pass. You will then be able to track it on the app it as it is being shipped to the dealer so you will always know where it is on it's journey to you.

I tried that. It wont activate without someone accepting the prompt on the touchpad in the Maverick.

I am a newbie to Ford and Ford pass app, but the information I find by searching online is that to activate a vehicle in the app you have to follow the on-screen prompts in the vehicle. Can someone explain to me how the new Maverick that still in Mexico or wherever is activated without following those on-screen prompts? (By the way I have a VIN number but my Maverick hasn't been built yet so I can't try this yet)

Well that's a bummer. I'll have to smack my son for getting my hopes up. He showed me how it worked on his new Ranger, but didn't mention he had to approve it on the screen. I guess he forgot that part.

Yeah, someone else just pointed that out. I was going off what my son told me. I guess he forgot about that small detail.

I hit activate on my hybrid order months ago. Out of the blue it activated and showed were it was on the map.
Must be nice, although I wonder how secure that is. There's a reason you have to accept the prompts.

SOMEONE WAS ( JUST AS YOU PUSH YOUR PASS BUTTON) HAD YOUR ENGINE AND RADIO ON.
I would have thought the transport mode would prohibit anything like that.

Out of curiosity where is it currently shown on the map?
Also has it been moving around?
Is it parked in the desert?

And please please please don't try to start it because some poor soul maybe near/in it.

I have it set to start everyday at one.

Shows it's at the factory in Mexico. Also 14 miles on it

The day it activated they put two miles on it..

Now it's in a deep sleep. Battery is probably dead.

Also if it starts it won't unless it's in park
