I have a 2021 Bronco Sport which did not have homelink either. I noticed on the 22 models, this is an option now. Maybe the 2023 Mav will have this option?

I guess you mean the hybrid model. Looks like they will all be delivered in 2023.

Will an older used home link work if it had power?
Can the power plug used for the front camera be used to power this home link under the rear view mirror?

No, arent all Mavs currently being delivered considered 2022s? At some point in 2022, I assume the 2023 Maverick will come out with some minor changes just like the 2021 to 2022 Bronco Sports did.

I have to agree it's pretty lame you could pay for a Lariat edition and no home link.
So I've just had to go old school.

I'm pretty sure Homelink parts are in short supply right now. Luxury automakers are dropping it from 2022 models too.
You missed the boat on the $12 Auto dimming with Homelink and built-in compass from Kia no surprise once word got out they sold like hot cakes. There may be hope keep looking at all Kia dealers and hope that one fell through the cracks 🙏

I installed this Meross adapter. You can just say "Hey Google, close my garage door." No buttons needed.
The best part is you get notifications if the door opens/closes or it is left open too long.

Also works to open, just have to say a 4 digit code.

There is a cubby in the dash that could hold the remote the garage door opener came with.

I called cubby “wasted space”. I happened to have a 6 inch long community gate remote, and placing it into the cubby is not a good idea, since the remote will fall out the moment to step on the gas and find its way underneath the shotgun seat! But thanks for the suggestion.

I just bought a Hyundai rearview mirror with homelink and auto dimming for less than less than 40 bucks shipped from a dealer along a plug n play harness from ebay.

I got the hyundai mirror and harness as well.. installation was a snap, less then 15 minutes.. took longer to program home link than the install did.. total cost for both was around $70, no as cheap as the Kia mirror i got a few years ago, but still reasonable to me..

A small piece of Velcro is my friend! Works great for about anything and easy to remove it later. That said, I installed the Kia mirror a couple years ago. My favorite modification, and easy to do. Has Homelink for (3) garage doors), compass and it is a dimmable mirror!
