On the F150 forum, there are numerous threads discussing homelink. Where to buy them where to look for power, how to install. Appears not too difficult. May give it a whirl when my Mav is delivered.

Some newer Chamberlain openers have the hub built in. I installed one last year which allows me to control it along with another opener I installed a few years ago.

No big deal for me. I use the phone or remote. I don't leave a garage door opener in a car that parks in the driveway, to easy for a thief to gain access to inside the garage.

I have the Chamberlain openers with MyQ built-in in my garage. The app works on my iPhone and Apple Watch. Hopefully the app shows up on the CarPlay as well. Not sure if anyone here has the MyQ and CarPlay to confirm this?

I found that out AFTER I placed my order. Just assumed it would be included since the last 3 cars I bought all had it standard on the top of the line models. (I ordered a FE Turbo). I don't know how I'm going to survive having to work with a clunky ole garage door remote. I call Bullshit!

It does not work with CarPlay, unfortunately.

However - Chamberlain MyQ is compatible with Apple HomeKit and CarPlay works with HomeKit so it sounds like you'll have a path to opening it one way or the other.

I'm just going to install the new auto-dimming mirror with Homelink. It'll take a few hours of time on a Saturday afternoon.

All you're doing is tapping the 12v power source running to your overhead lights. They sell connectors on amazon that you just splice and push connect, couldn't be easier.
