Hi. I think I got one of the first Hybrid Mavericks in November or December of 21. I loved my truck and put over 20k miles on it. Las year in the summer I had to sell the Maverick but I really miss my truck. Now I am ready to get back and was wondering how the market changed. As I bought my truck, I custom ordered it and payed MSRP but if you wanted to buy off the lot you had to pay 5-10k markup. How is the market now? Did it change? Can I get one at MSRP? I am in Los Angeles.
Thank you in Advance!!

Check out Granger Ford.
What do you have to lose by giving them a call and see if they have anything available ?

I am in SoCal too. You can purchase a '24 hybrid off the lot if you shop carefully and I saw one dealer offering a $500 discount.

Edit: I just checked [07:30 on 10/14/24] my small local dealer. They show 55 Mavs in stock and a $500 discount on hybrids : Encinitas Ford, 92024. You can probably do better elsewhere as I don't recommend this dealer.

Shop online - ford.com, build it then use the inventory feature. Change zip codes to find what is available and do all the negotiating online.

When I purchased a new'22 off the lot I focused on dealers in less affluent areas. Local dealers were asking $10k-12k additional dealer markups. I found what I wanted in Riverside CA for $1800 ADM. It was only 90 miles away at Fritts Ford - good experience, no fuckery, - and saved me bigtime.

Most dealers in my area are selling at MSRP. I got mine for MSRP minus $2000 in incentives ($1000 for trade in, and $1000 for dealer financing -- which was an excellent 4.7%). I also didn't have to wrestle with the finance manager who made no effort to sell extended warranty packages, etc. I live in Macon GA, but I also looked in Ocala and Jacksonville FL (where I have family), and their listings were also largely MSRP.

I am in Orange County, California.

The only dealer I would consider is Galpin Ford. They have a high enough volume to not burden the sale with unnecessary add-ons and tend to sell at MSRP. I don't have any personal experience buying from them, although I did order a 2024 XL Hybrid from them that we were not able to purchase when it came in.

We have purchased two Mavericks from Long McArthur Ford in Salina, Kansas. In both cases, I flew in and drove them back. We bought the first Maverick Hybrid for my son in November 2023 (the Galpin Ford XL Hybrid was, initially, for him). We purchased the second Maverick Hybrid for my wife (now owned by our daughter) in April 2024.

They have a large number of Maverick Hybrids on the lot. We ordered a 2024 Maverick XLT Hybrid for my wife when my daughter bought the 2024 Maverick XL Hybrid. We ended up leasing a Mach-E. Consequently, this Maverick is now available on their lot.

Long McArthur currently offers $1000 if you finance through them and an additional $1000 if you purchase a warranty at the time of purchase.

Their Internet sales manager, Tim Bartz (@fordvideoguy), and his daughter, Sarah Davis (@Sarah Davis), are active on MTC and YouTube. For all of the details, you should contact them via direct message.

If you do decide to buy from them, feel free to reach out to me directly for insights into registering your new Maverick in California.
