I'm scheduled to get decals put on my truck next Thursday. Here's the proof that the sign shop sent me. It will be done in shiny white wrap material rather than just vinyl. I initially put a black vinyl flag on the hood of my truck when I bought it two years ago, but it was subdued and hard to see. I wanted something that was going to stand out and they recommended the white wrap material since it will last longer and is easier to apply than vinyl and won't bubble. The only thing I'm on the fence for is the color of the tanks. I may switch it to shiny black instead.

Nice decals. Making suggestions as a graphic designer: I would recommend that you cut back on some of the decals. Too many can go easily from cool to tacky. Lose the door decals, and only use one of the tank decals (keep the right one). I think all the decals would look better in black, but whatever color you choose they should probably all be the same color. Good luck!

I've seen plenty of things on this site I've thought were tacky or ugly - generally I just don't post on those, or MAYBE say "not for me, but I hope you like it." Who knows, maybe I put that on one of your posts.

I chose a "F50 LIGHT DUTY" sticker on each side behind the rear wheels, where his flags are - a lot of people probably think that's goofy, but I love it.

I'm generally with the "less is more" minset, but I'd consider keeping the doors (not for my truck, but I could see that working). I'd more likely drop what's on the hood (hard to see under most circumstances). I do like keeping one tank - then again, I was 11H (mostly) in the national guard, so I have a hard time not seeing a tank silhouette as a target, but that's just me. Is that a Bradley and an M1? I'm rusty - it's been more years than I care to admit.

Unless you were in the armed forces, you’d never understand and walked, marched, and ran in my boots for over 11 years, you’d never understand.

It's US Army and US Flag and tank stickers on a Mexican made mini truck. It's objectively goofy.

Ex paratrooper here. Love the tanks on the back. It's be cool if was a Ukrainian tank behind a Russian tank, and the Russian tank's turret was flying off...

Your truck...do it.
As a fellow Regular Army type...I had always thought the Air Force was the best branch, they sent their officers off to die, not us enlisted types.

Vet of the 1st Persian Gulf War... I will say it's not goofy, but overkill. I do like the tanks on the tailgate.
I'm also not a fan of flags being used in such a way that it goes against Title 4 (just my opinion). I dont' mind Veterans getting tattoo of the flag.

In the end it's not my truck and WGAF if I don't like it and what I think. It represents something to the OP.. More power to them!

The tank on the left is an M60A3, which I spent more time on than the M1 series tank. I did have the sign shop remove that tank and just went with the M1A1.
As far as the hood decal, I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place. I had a black vinyl star on the hood scoop for almost two years, but it was subdued black and hard to see. I removed the vinyl yesterday, and the adhesive this morning with Goof Off and a plastic razor blade. There were a few tough spots, and when it was said and done, those few spots were scraped down to the primer by mistake. So now I need the white star to cover up the primer spots.

I did 20 years and I don't quite disagree with the goofy comment. The flags looks fine, the rest gets to the tacky side to me.

I started out as an enisted/nco paratrooper in the Army. Then I saw the light, and I realized I should be in front of the aircraft rather than the back. So off to the chair force, where I promptly went from 138 lbs to 188 lbs in five years. And I literally went from jumping out of C-130s (the back) to navigating them (the front).

Awesome!! That’s quite a “jump”, wouldn’t you say?
