My 2023 Atlas Blue Hybrid XLT turned 1 year old on Oct. 2. I bought the little truck to tow behind my motorhome. I needed something that would carry all of the "stuff" we need to take as well as comfortably fit 4 adults. The truck meets those needs nicely. The truck now has 3,360 miles on the odometer, but has been towed 10,560 miles. 1 oil change and 1 tire rotation in the last year. It was a bit of a trial at first. I went through the dreaded battery thing with multiple deep sleep messages with the final episode being a totally dead battery that stranded us in Wilcox, AZ (the OEM battery would not take a charge). I purchased a NAPA replacement battery that seems to have cured the battery issues. Then we experienced a "death wobble" situation resulting in (or caused by) an ePower steering assist failure. Ford replaced the steering assembly under warranty twice due to receiving a bad part the first time.
We live near Albuquerque,NM and the little truck has been towed to the Oregon coast and the North Carolina coast as well as a few of places in between. It has served us very well and I am very happy with the truck. The fact that it is averaging a bit over 41 mpg certainly helps.

Looks good. My 2023 just turned a year old last month. I noticed on the way home from lunch today that I rolled passed 27k miles. No problems and 30mpg on the XL EB TP AWD.

One year for me, 9,600 miles. Did my own oil change at 9,000 miles. AGM battery has 5 months on it and running fine. No CV axle grease leaking yet.

I'm curious what brand of baseplate and tow arm you used. I saw a Maverick being flat towed on highway 101 a couple days ago.

I installed a Roadmaster baseplate and use a Roadmaster All Terrain towbar. If I were to do it again I would use a Demco baseplate. The Roadmaster requires removal of the lower active air shutter whereas the Demco does not.

My XLT turn 1 yo this month. Has 4,000+ miles. Did oil change at ~1,500 miles. Had 2 recall done, now waiting on the next 2 (back up camera & wiper motor biz).

Otherwise, no major hic cups.

Agree. The Demco is a much better option, but they showed up to the party after Roadmaster, so not much choice early on. Nevertheless, what's important is that you have a stable and safe tow package. Many safe and happy journeys.

Kudos to @BradnChristine for pioneering the Demco design and install procedure.

Thanks. I fear the entire process will have to start over again for the re-faced 2025 Maverick. Certainly the Lariat moved the ACC unit right smack in the way of both the Roadmaster and the Demco versions from 2022-24....maybe the Demco Baseplate will fit an XL or XLT. Time will tell.

I think there's enough info here to dissuade anyone from trying the Blue Ox version, even if the old one fits a 2025.

You're right! I have to wonder about the decision to revamp the 25's front end. Seems to be done only for "let's change the front end for the heck of it", because I can see no tech or mechanical advantage. I don't understand why Ford would do that considering the renewed costs of retooling and manufacturing.

Like all one year olds, the Mav can be stroppy and whiney.

At my advanced age, I have discovered many stupid things are being changed, seemingly solely for someone to justify their continued employment. So many useless changes in so many things.

They did not need to change the front of the Maverick, especially so minimally. It just causes problems, since Ford will not actually put out a "towed" package. I think that is the really stupid part from Ford. Design a vehicle, designate it as flat-towable, but then do absolutely nothing to create a method to actually tow it...and leave that to others. Ford had the engineering, and it would be at least as much of a money-maker for them as is a Spray-in Bedliner. Go figure.
