Here we go….

‘22 XLT AWD Ecoboos, 50k miles. Death wobble began recently at 40-50mph and am learning that CV Joints are an issue.

Message sent to Ford service department. Looking forward to hearing from them tomorrow!

Hopefully, you messaged your local Ford dealer and not the bot that's on this forum. All the bot does is tell you to contact your local dealer.

Calling would be even better.
IIRC, it should be covered under the drivetrain warranty.

FWIW, a death wobble can also be something as simple as a thrown tire balance weight.

Are the tires the original ones? Does it do it at all speeds? Need more info?

New tires with 12k on them and it happens under load, 40-50mph.

Everything I’ve read points to CV joint issue.

you've definitely never driven a Jeep with the death wobble if that's what you call the vibration from a failing cv joint or an out-of-balance tire.

Nope, I haven’t. Just quoting the many others with the same issue and what they’re also calling it.

good video here:

it's radically different. this is the first post I've seen of someone with a Maverick calling a CV joint issue a death wobble, but I guess maybe I missed a few posts. how about we not call it that? :)

Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.
