I have a hitch carrier that we use for hauling our fat tire E-bikes. The hardest part is lifting them up. My Wife gets to help me with that!

400 pounds. Not sure how much those bikes weigh. The Mav handles that tongue weight OK?
No problems so far. The bikes weigh about 65 lbs each but I remove the batteries when they are being transported. The Mav handles that tongue weight OK?
Oh, I see your Mav is an FX4. Better tongue weight than my Hybrid, I think. The Mav handles that tongue weight OK?
Out of curiosity, with that bed extender on there, would the bikes fit with the front tires left on? And is that the Ford extender or an Amazon one?I didn't want to use a bike carrier or tailgate pad. So U used a 2x6 upfront. I had to block out the fork mounts and have them at different heights to get the bikes to fit. The smallest doesn't have quick release tires so I made a tire holder and use a clamp to keep it tight.
They are 20 inch, 26 inch and 29 inch bikes. The 26 inch is just a tiny bit too long to close the tailgate. I could probably move it around to get it to work, but it is my son's and he wouldn't be taking the truck without me so I always have the 29er.
It stinks to have to ride with the tailgate down, but with the extender there is enough room to put extra gear if needed.
