Is there a paint color you liked/disliked but have changed your mind on?

I thought this might be interesting to get others opinion on. So many colors I feel do not look the same when you compare pics to real life. For me Cactus Grey didn't do anything for me from pictures but seeing it in real life I love it.

I'll stick with bland, unexciting colors that blend with the raw metal and primer of paint chips

I'm not a fan of black vehicles. They are beautiful for about 10 minutes after you wash/wax them. Difficult to keep clean.

Area 51.

In all honesty I felt somewhat that way before I saw it in person. In practice it is very much a “mood ring” kindof color, where it can indeed look robins-egg blue in some light, but straight up slate gray in other conditions. It’s like having multiple trucks in one.

I consider Azure Gray a pretty close equivalent, with the added benefit that its metallic qualities will forgive a lot of dirt/blemishes.

Pictures of Area 51 had me originally ordering that color. In the 13 months from order to delivery, I had a lot of time to see many Fords in real life in that color. In anything but direct sunshine, it looked like a dull gray and nothing like most of the pictures you see so I changed the color on my order before it got built. Much happier with Cactus Gray.

My first choice is always silver, reminds me of the polished aluminum warbirds of the past. Second choice would be gray, though Cactus Gray isn't what I had in mind. It's what was available so I took it, it's grown on me, though I still don't like how it takes on a greenish hue in certain lights.

I considered azure gray when I ordered but thought it might be too dark so I went with the standard white.
Then when I went to pick up my mav there was an azure gray one right next to it and it was really nice.
I'm happy with white, but I probably would have bought azure gray if I had seen one in advance.

Cyber Orange for sure. First saw it, thought I would never buy one in that color. Have seen some out in the wild and I must say I dig them. I could totally own one now.

HPR is that way for me.

I'd never own a vehicle that color but damn it looks good especially on those Tremors.

My previous FORD trucks had been...
Blue (1977 F-100, 1994 Ranger) or White (1985 & 2008 Rangers)

When I saw what colors were being offered, Velocity Blue and Oxford White...
Then I saw my first "Area 51 Blue"...
I said to myself... NO WAY!!!
Guess what color I got...

I like the Atlas Blue. I always wanted a blue truck and when it is clean, it is pretty. But it is harder to keep looking clean than some colors. I'm curious if Velocity Blue is easier to keep clean.

I was pretty disappointed when they canceled Area 51. I like the non-metallic, and the blue-green is unusual enough (I try to rebel against the crowd periodically as part of my persona.)
I ordered Cactus Gray instead (again: like the non-metallic) and now I am glad I did.
