Did folks who bought elsewhere cancel their order with Chapman? If so did you just send an email?
They won't actually cancel - that's how they make money from all of these 4% under invoice orders. They will now be able to sell for MSRP or MSRP+ (and good for them!) That's why I was asking if you consider changing your order to ecoboost!

I wonder if any of the dealerships who have had customers "cancel" then reach out to other unscheduled customers with the same build and let them know that someone who had the exact same order as them backed out and they now have one available to fill the order. The dealership would still have an "unclaimed" vehicle coming in, just at a later date.

It just makes better business sense for them to sell what they have on the lot (from canceled orders) today today at MSRP, or MSRP+. Think it through, they are making almost nothing on 4% under invoice. Their lots are likely empty (guessing on that). It makes way more sense to take that cashflow now. Don't get me wrong, that would be handy for us, but I'm sure this is just of how this kind of deal is even financially possible for all of us to get this deal from Chapman

They would still be getting their cashflow going, it would just be from a different customer that is further back in the queue and that maverick will come to them at a later date, just giving them inventory later rather then sooner. I feel like that would be the least they could do to help alleviate some of the frustrations people are feeling (especially when they see builds coming from other dealers that were placed much later than the ones we placed with Chapman)

Well, I just saw that someone from Granger posted they have 10 allocations for the month of November. @Dealerinsider how many allocations have you received? Hopefully a substantial amount.

Well, I just saw that someone from Granger posted they have 10 allocations for the month of November. @Dealerinsider how many allocations have you received? Hopefully a substantial amount.
Good luck getting a response. He hasn't been on the forum since mid-September.

I think they are a bit overwhelmed and probably have plenty of customers reaching out consistently wondering what's going on.

if I recall correctly dealerinsider yesterday mentioned that they have reached 400 reservation for the maverick and 20 ecobust allocat

I wonder if you can also call ford customer service to cancel it for good also from the reservation list of the particular dealer...

Not sure I know where you are talking about. If he logs onto the forum he sure hasn't answered any posts calling him out. I personally called him out 5 times and he doesn't reply on the forum or with a PM. I have sent emails and they answered email but completely sidestepped answering questions about allocation and other things I've asked.

Not sure why you would log in and not respond to questions addressed directly to you on your own thread. There's service and there's service. Ignoring posts and questions is NOT service. This is the platform HE chose to drum up business. Now that he has it, what happened to the service?

Believe me, if I wouldn't go to the bottom of the line by taking my business elsewhere, I would have canceled my order already.

Strange how he wasn't too busy getting all the orders. From his post, this wasn't his first rodeo. So now he's busy and the people who trusted him he's too busy to respond to his customers? Ignore posts who are not from your customer if you'd like, but why bite the hand that feeds you?

I believe you are thinking of @fordvideoguy ( Tim Bartz ) - I don't believe Tom has a youtube channel
