Very happy with Hybrid Fuel Mileage

I did a mileage check on my 24 hybrid at 1300 klms. it was 40 mpg , i just did another check at 4800 klms. i am at 46.9 mpg ! i am very happy with my Mav !

Enabling the Brake Coach screen and EV Coach screen can teach you to get even better mileage, and probably get 200k service life out of the brake pads.

My truck's running mileage on (the never been reset since owned) screen at 3700 miles is 49.3. I know from my per tank calculations at the pump that this is a couple of MPG's high, but I'm still very pleased. That screen indicated in the low teens at delivery.

What is the EV coach screen? How do you activate it?

The EV coach shows green when charging, Blue when using electric motor and white when using hybrid.

You can learn about it in the user manual. Or do a thread search in this forum, upper right corner of your screen.

The Mav mpg is amazing! First hybrid for me. The other day, drove locally for 41 minutes, about 20 miles, to run an errand. When I turned off the truck, it reported 73.6 mpg …. Just about fell out of my seat! I am typically getting 45 to 60+ mpg locally and 40 mpg highway. I can easily get 700 to 800 miles per tank. I can never remember the last time I filled up it occurs so infrequently.

I just did a 20km (14mile) trip over hills and with a half-dozen stopsigns at an average of about 70km/hr (43mph) and going there I did 4.8L/100kmh (49USmpg) and coming back it was 3.9L/100km (60mpg) with about 500lbs in the bed. I have to admit to pedaling it and driving like a hi-miler to get that. I'm also using fuel with 10% alcohol, which should cost about a 3% mileage hit as we can no longer get the more polluting alcohol-free fuel in Canada. If I drive strictly highway that goes down to about 5.3L/100km (44USmpg). That easily beats every other vehicle that I've ever driven, and the highway mileage is twice what any other truck of any size would get.

Same, I'm getting around 45MPG on tanks where I don't use AC, and as low as 33MPG when i do.
