Curious if anyone has the 110 plug for the flex bed? Wondered what people’s experience has been with it? Is it really only about 400 watts?

Yeah, it is 400W due to the laws of physics/ Ohms Law, etc... Converting from ~12-15V DC in the battery and/or alternator to ~120V AC means the amperage on the ~12-15V DC is going to be 10 times what the amperage is on the ~120V AC side. Severely limits the wattage available on the ~120V AC side due to that.Curious if anyone has the 110 plug for the flex bed? Wondered what people’s experience has been with it? I've plugged in something once just to make sure it works. Since it's a cheap modified sine wave inverter, it won't charge many electronics, including my portable battery. For me, it's practically useless.
Are you willing to hook it directly to the battery under the hood and have the truck running while you use it? Not worth building something into the truck, in my opinion. My Delta 2 portable battery will run anything up to 1800w and has a 1 kwh capacity. Plenty of other options. Refurbished, it can be had for about $450 these days. The Delta 2 I talked about above doesn't like it. I think the power is fairly "dirty".How is the sine wave on the inverter? Im sure its not a pure wave, but just how "noisy" is it? That will play a huge roll in whether its actually useful or not.

i did look at the wires and I did the math and thought to myself what a waste of accessory $$ this would be for usIf you look at the wires going to the outlet, they are very small, maybe 16-18 guage???
That was one clue that the outlet has very limited capacity. At 3.3 amps, I use it for charging Li batteries for power tools but only in a pinch. Or you could use it to power work lights but you need to leave the engine running or you risk running down the already undersized battery.
Conclusion: mostly useless. Of all the things Ford could have deleted, this is one I wouldn't miss.
