Does anybody have the OEM part number for the hitch cutout cover? I found some that appear to not be OEM and I’m concerned about color match.

Thanks!

I did buy an Amazon seller knockoff and had a great fit and color match.

I bought one already modified by a guy near me on FB. It really makes the truck look more finished.
That does look nicely done. Does he sell them regularly or was it a one-time thing? I'd rather pay a little extra (within reason) for a guaranteed nice result than take a chance on one being that it's visible.

I am no longer on that FB group that he posts on, but I have his messenger contact info. He had a number of them and sells them modified already for the 4k and 2k tow setups. When I contacted him, it turns out he lives 10 minutes from me so he dropped it off (Southeast Michigan area). He charged $65 (+$5 shipping) if I recall and included plastic pop rivets to lock it in place from the bottom.

I think that's about as much as I'd pay before I would rather take a shot at doing it myself. It looks really nicely fitted, so it would be worth it to me.

Can you post his contact info or PM me if you're not comfortable posting it here?

I was going to do it myself and then I happened to see the FB post about 3 months ago. I figured I’d butcher it the first time and have to buy a second one to make it look right. He must have made a nice template that he uses to cut them.

I notice that the FB seller leaves a pretty big tolerance (i.e. gap) around the receiver and wiring connector. Probably makes it a bit easier to install. It's not a bad thing, since they are selling them. The plastic push clips are a nice add, too.

Most of the homebrew ones (mine included) are cut a lot more close, with all the installation struggles that brings. :D I do prefer the look of those though.

Ford Maverick Trailer Hitch Cover Template & Instructions
https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...iler-hitch-cover-template-instructions.39062/

While I have seen several articles modifying a hitch cover to fit the gap on Mavericks with a trailer hitch. I have noticed that the dimensions that have been shared are different from one to the other. This leads me to believe that the hitch installation has an exceptional amount of tolerance and would cause inconsistent location dimensions. Attached are two PDF files, a template and instructions for making and installing this modification.
