Didn’t read all 29 pages to see if I’m the only one who is not a fan of the new grill.

Colinl does not have a hybrid and does not care how they work.
first is plainly true, second is false. I like hybrids a lot more than EVs, for the same reason I know you're wrong - I have significant experience with internal combustion engines, a brain, and I use it.

What ā€œtraction motorā€? There’s ICE, Two electric motor/generators, battery, the planetary gears, and a controller. The battery doesn’t have to be in use for any particular speed or load. The battery can be used to add torque if needed, mostly for acceleration or to store braking energy. One electric motor can be driving the other directly without involving the battery. There will be some loss in that electric circuit due to heat loss just as there are losses in the drive train due to friction.
lol it's actually you who doesn't understand the hybrid powertrain.

the 2 motors are not the same. one is the traction motor and the other is the generator / starter.

Hell there were automatics 30 years back that would bark the tires when shifting. The 8F is the laziest auto I've ever owned 🤣 been thinking about a 5Star tune.
I used to love putting valve body shift kits in my automatics. None of them were ever in sports cars, but at least it made it to where you could actually feel the shifts in a mid-70's THM350. The last kit I did was in a '97 F-150.

can probably find a 2024 XL on the lot. There are several in the CLE area.

The people that brag about buying a base model and then spend double the difference adding on rims and random chinese amazon junk accessories.
In other words, people who don’t like the xlt rims or orange accents.

We should find out soon enough as the TFL crew will certainly run it up the mountain towing 4k and see what it does. Should be interesting, but if its using engine power to charge batteries thats just taking away from the ice power going to the wheels.
I have a Hybrid and love it. I also think the 25 Hybrid 4K towing will do fine under normal conditions. But if TFL races a 25 Hybrid 4K against and 25 EB 4K, up to the IKE Tunnel, it will not be very close.

The EB starts with almost a 100 extra HP and turbos adapt to the high altitude much better than normally aspirated engines.

Originally, I had no interest in a 25 Maverick. However, the new backup trailer assist feature is a game changer. Now, I am considering one. It has a lot of other nice new features, such the bigger screen, new engine (ECO), eruption green color and 360 camera.
I have to agree with alot of this. For the most part I am impressed with what they've done with the 2025. AWD Hybrid is what I wanted all along. With some of the other features Bill shared, I am itchy to order one.

Sadly, my wife gets the next new car, so I might be waiting. Boo! ;)

assuming it works the same as the ranger and f-150, it definitely is a game changer.

Same cheap plastic interior. I wouldn’t spend over $38k for it.

I agree with you about the front of the truck. I am not a fan. I really like the looks of the 2022 to 2024 better.

Compelling updates... And the pricing, honestly, seems in line with the new features/capabilities and the world we live in. Still a great value for what you're getting but it's come a long way from the $20K base XL you could have had (in theory) 3 years ago.
$21,490 with shipping. About $6,400 more now for the 2025.

Funny. When seeing these two basically identical photos and placement of the trucks, it really hits me how much more I like our current 22-24 front end.
Agree. Why didn't Ford just leave well enough alone? Revision for the sake of revision. Downgrades the beauty of the Maverick.

A fellow Maverick owner told me the hybrid only came in awd, when I read the 2025 info I noticed awd is an option. I should have read the post first. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø Sorry for the confusion...
You're fine. I read from your profile that you have a hybrid, which of course means you have fwd. I misinterpreted your comment to mean you didn't want fwd. What I didn't realize was that you were referring the new 2025 hybrid which now offers awd and you would prefer that. Did I get that correctly?

So the trash interior plastic quality is staying? Nice work.
I know a lot of people have complained about the plastics scratching too easily. I have not experienced that on my 24 Lariat.

I wish fwd was available as an option in the hybrid. I don't need/want all wheel drive.
For those of you who want/need it, I'm happy it is available.
Agree. I assume they’re trying to keep the number of configurations low to contain both cost and help with manufacturing quality. But I think keeping a front wheel drive option for the hybrid on the Lariat trims would be nice for those of us that don’t need it.
