Software updates causing issues. Just had the dashboard update preformed and have lost some of my display options. No longer have the display I used available. Haven't had real success with updates. I paid for those displays where do we go from here?

Not to burst your bubble, but the Ford rep on the forum will likely ask for your VIN and dealer in a private message, make sure the dealer is still in business, and then tell you to go have them check it out. You can sidestep all that yourself by... going to your dealer and having them check it out.

IMHO your best bet is to better explain your issue here, so that the community can chime in. There are a lot of hybrid owners here that have seen a lot of things, but you'll need to offer more detail.

"Update" is a generic term. Do you mean a recall repair was performed? Or did you let the infotainment system do an automatic over-the-air update?

"Display" is also unclear. Gauge cluster, or infotainment display? Specifically, what info was on a display that you are now missing?

If you still want to find the Ford rep their name is "@Ford Motor Company," searchable on the forum. Good luck.

I haven’t had the latest recalls done yet however my dash changed and I didn’t do anything. Had a display that showed miles on the current tank of gas and distance to empty. I have scrolled through the screens and found one that is 100% electric driving coaching and one that is a constant version of the screen that shows the statistics when you shut the truck off. The other screen is that I like is gone.
let me pose another question, the dealer where I bought the truck is 50 miles away can I make an appointment with a local dealer and get the recalls taken care of?
I have a several hundred mile trip coming up should I wait until after the trip so I don’t get caught in you can’t get there from here Ohio with a dead truck?

I was having problems after my last update. Try this, using the OK button on the steering wheel find settings, go into settings and you should (maybe) be able to find what you thought went away. My salesman helped me with it.

As a former software engineer, I'm gonna let a grease monkey botch the task of flashing my Maverick's distributed firmware AFTER I've sold my Maverick. Which I suspect will be soon.

There will be an eventual end to this madness. A few companies like Tesla and Rivian are pointing the way to the future. Zonal architectures (fewer controllers) with software owned and maintained by the OEM, with seamless OTA updates. Until then, the occasional clown at dealership service departments will continue to make bad software worse. Most of the guys get it right most of the time, but it's Russian Roulette who you're gonna get.

Today you typically have an ancient CAN bus with dozens of tiny controllers. The future is Ethernet with two to four controllers. I used to write software that interacted with firmware on these buses (a real nightmare). I'll take Ethernet any day.

When looking at the screen you do not like toggle the "OK" button up or down until you see trip one or trip two. I would guess that you accidently toggled the button. Or you had your oil changed and tech changed the screen to Trip one and reset your oil life.

When I receive my truck back from updates, the instrument cluster is where the tech left it: not me.
So...I spend a few minutes putting it all back where I like it.
Keep looking...its in there somewhere
